Wishing you a Cozy Christmas

Hi there! Merry Christmas Eve!  Today I bring you the last Christmas card of the year, which means it's the last Christmas card in my Christmas card series over on my YouTube channel. This is the 11th video in the series and the last.  I'll leave a link to the entire series here if you want to check them out.  2018 Christmas Card Series<-------Click here for entire Christmas series play list.

For this card I used two different stamp sets.  I used clearly besotted cozy Christmas and Simon Says Stamp Peace on Earth.

I stamped the fireplace on spectrum noir ultra smooth premium card stock in memento tuxedo black ink.  Then it was time to color it with the spectrum noir markers. I used IG4, BG4, BG6 and EB5 for the fireplace. For the fire I used CT3, CR10, CR11 and again EB5.

Then I cut down the card base from Michael's Recollections Card stock.  The wood grain patterned paper is a pack of paper I picked up at Dollar Tree. I adhered that to the card base using the Scotch Advanced Tape Glider.  The rectangle in the one paper was cut using the big shot machine and My Favorite Things A2 Rectangle STAX set 1.

After adhering all that together it was time to work on the sentiment which I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I used Simon Says Stamp Clear embossing powder to raise the letters.  i used the Marvey heat tool to melt the embossing powder.

I used the sentiments "Wishing you a cozy Christmas" from the clearly besotted stamp set. I also used the sentiment "May the true meaning of Christmas warm your heart all year"  this sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp Peace on Earth Stamp set.   I love these sentiments. I personally believe that Jesus is the reason for the season and I wanted to share that with you.  As I celebrate Christmas and reflect that Jesus was born to be our savior and give us hope not only at Christmas but all through the year.  Jesus is there for us all the time.

Is cozy spelt wrong on the card?

I never thought of that, apparently it can be spelled cozy or cosy. Depending on where you are. The typical spelling in the USA is cosy while here in Canada we spell it cozy with the z.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
