Get Kids Crafty December Blog Hop "Winter"

Hello Everyone! Today I've got another Get Kids Crafty Blog Hop for you. This month's theme is winter.   I saw this snow globe project floating around the internet and I wanted to try it. It's just so fun and we had so much fun making it too.

Before I tell you how we made this cute project, don't forget to hop along and see what the other families did with their kids.  Also tag Get Kids crafty on Instagram using hashtag #getkidscrafty if you are inspired by these projects or whenever you're crafty with your kids. We love seeing all your crafting with kids projects. Also check out the facebook group too for ideas.

Alright onto the project. So it was quite simple to make. You need a laminating sheet and you open it up and draw a circle for your snow globe. We used a cottage cheese lid to get a perfect circle and we used a black permenent marker to trace our circle.

Then Riley painting the sow bank with white acrylic paint and used the paint brush on the top to add some snow.   Once this step was done we needed to wait for the paint to dry.

During this time Riley went and played and I printed off the picture for the finished project.  Once you have printed off your picture. You want to cut around the image of the child and then glue it in the snow globe once the paint is completely dry.

Here is Riley gluing the pictures to the snow globe. As you can see we did make three but our final project is the one that turned out the best.

Next it was time to close the laminating sheet and run it through our laminating machine.  Once it was laminated I cut out the circles. We then made bases for the snow globe out of black cardstock and Riley glued it to the snow globe part that we created.

Finally to finish off the snow globe I added "Riley 2018" with a chalk marker and punched a hole at the top and added some twine. Then I hung it on our Christmas tree to display our fun and cute creation.

Alright, now here are the links to the other blogs and the rest of the Get Kids Crafty. I'm excited to see what everyone else made.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
