Simon Says anything goes with pearls

Once again I've played along with Simon says Stamps Wednesday Challenge . This week's Challenge "anything goes with pearls" use pearls on your card in anyways.  I've been wanting to colour this image for awhile and make a card with it. Here is my card: I used my dots embossing folder in the Big Shot machine. Also used my Spellbinders Nestabilties Standard Circles Large for the circle.  The stamped image is by Stampendous it's from the Precious Moments Collection and it's called "A Joyful Noise" The Joy is a Michael's Craft Smart $1.50 stamp.  All paper is from Michael's and the pink pearls I picked up at Wal-mart they are from Forever in time paper craft collection.  Here is a close up of the colouring on the card.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch 165

I participated in this week's "My Favourite Things" Wednesday Stamp Club sketch. I am really happy with how this card turned out. I've been needing to make some girl baby cards for some friends and baby cards are always good to have around in case someone needs some.  The sketch:  My card: I used my dots embossing folder in my big shot machine.  Then I cut the circle using my new Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Large Dies. ( I was very excited to get these. I've been looking into getting circle dies for awhile and then I went on a trip to the states and got them 60 % off at Joann's wahoo!)  The Little Baby stamp is a Michael's Studio G $1.50 stamp and the welcome is from American crafts.  All the paper is from Michael's and the button was one I have in my stash. ( I have a lot of buttons) To round the corner edge I used my corner rounder and for the words I heat embossed them with Recollections "Signature Special&

Sparkle & Shine Gratulerer!

The last card I made with my new Norwegian stamps for now. I am excited to create more cards with them in the future. Once again this says "Gratulerer" which means congratulations.

Norwegian wedding

Here is another card I created with my new Norwegian stamps. The front of this card says "Sammen for alltid!" Which means together forever.  The inside of the card is another stamp that says "Gratulerer" which means congratulations.

Gratulerer! Congratulations!

My friend from Norway who recently came to visit brought me some Norwegian rubber stamps. This one says "Gratulerer" which means congratulations. She asked if I could make her some cards with the new stamps for some upcoming weddings of her friends. This is the inside of the card. It says "Sammen for alltid!" Which in English means together forever.  I don't usually embellish the inside of cards but I've been inspired lately to try it out. I guess it will depend on the occasion and the card I'm making.

Happy Birthday "John Deer"

A personal request card from my friend who's dad loves John Deer products.

More moose be love cards

Just like my previous post but with some green in it. Loving this stamp!

Moose-ing you!!

To follow up from my last post about welcoming my friends from Norway to Canada I also made them this card when they went home. I will miss them a lot! I thought this was a cute way of telling them that in a canadian way.   Again I used the micheal's $1.50 Canadian stamps, baker's twine from the dollar store. I used my snowball embossing folder and the jewels are also from the dollar store. This is the inside of the card.

Welcome to Canada!

My friends Rebecca and Lars are visiting from Norway for 2 weeks. They are here till 23rd. It's so wonderful and exciting having them here in Canada. I got to see their country and spend an amazing 2 years there and now I get to spend time with them and show them a small part of my country.  Here is a card I made for them welcoming them to Canada. This card features the Canadian $1.50 stamps and red twine from the $ store too. I colored the small image with my copics to make it pop. Here is a close up of the colored image. Here is the inside of the card

Simon Says get Krafty "It Moose Be Love"

I decided to play along with this week's Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge . I've meant to participate before but didn't get the card made or uploaded before the due date.  But this time I was able to create a card that worked. This week's challenge was to use kraft paper in a card. Create any project using this color of paper. Here is the card I created using kraft cardstock.  It Moose Be Love I just got this stamp the other day. It's the moose and moose be love stamp set from |Great Impressions stamps. I had seen this stamp online and really liked it and then I found it at a local scrapbooking store and was so excited to get it.  I used my copic markers to color it. All the cardstock is from Micheal's and the embossing on the kraft paper is a Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder.  I used the red twine which I got at the $ store. The heart hanging from the twine is from Spellbinders Shapeabilities "Charmed I'm Sure&q

MFT Wednesday Sketch Club Card Sketch 162

Here is another card sketch from  "My Favourite Things" . Sadly I didn't make last week's but I did it this week and I'm happy about that. I had this idea for this sketch rolling around in my head for days now so I'm glad I was able to make this sketch in time for the deadline. Here is the sketch: Here is my card: I've had a bunch of these orange flowers for a long time and I've never used them. So it's about time they get used.  They are from Heidi swapp.  Then I used the MFT Pure innocence stamp "Happy Birthday Princess" stamp. (As stated before it's so only MFT stamp I have)  On this card I didn't use the whole image as it wouldn't of fit with the look I was going for but just used the head and a bit of her dress. I like how it turned out.  I coloured it with my copics and used a new white pen I just got at the $ Dollar store to do the white dots on her dress. It's a permanent white metallic marker.

Merry Christmas truck!

Here is a last minute Christmas card I made closer to the end of December.  ( didn't post it as it was still in the mail and didn't want my friend to see it before she received it) After Christmas I found this stamp for 70% off at micheals and I loved it. I couldn't wait to use it till next year so this is what I came up with. This was one of my first stamps that I colored with my new copic markers. Also  this stamp was so perfect for the friend who I made this for as her and her husband met while working in a tree lot one Christmas and their friendship grew from there. I try and only get stamps or supplies based on if I can see myself using it lots. I want to get the most out of my supplies. This stamp has so much potential. One thing I really like about it is that it can be used on cards for men which every card marker knows can be quite the challenge.  I had also posted another card featuring this stamp previously on the blog. It was a happy birthday card but I just cut
