Birthday wishes, Pumpkin spice latte edition

Fall is just around the corner and September 1st marked the season of Pumpkin Spice lattes at Starbucks. So I created this birthday card for my friend who had a birthday coming up and works at Starbucks too.   The coffee cup and inside sentiment are digital stamps from Pretty Cute Stamps.  The birthday wishes sentiment is from a set I found at Dollar Tree and it's stamped on vellum. It's then embossed using embossing powder to finish it off.  The pumpkin image is a $1.50 stamp from Micheal's I've had for awhile stamped with orange ink from color box.  The make a wish circle is from that same set of stamps from dollar tree. It's stamped with the orange ink from color box and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The brown Chevron look is done with a stencil from Heidi Swapp and inked with walnut stain distress ink. Then finally I added some sparkle to the inside and outside with the clear wink of Stella pen.  May you week be pumpkin spice and everyt

With this marriage the force is strong

Hello Hello! I've got another fun card to share with you all! This is a completely custom order card from my friend.  She was recently invited to a wedding where the groom really likes Star Wars and the Bride likes desserts especially pie with lots of whipped cream. So my friend wanted to combine their two favorite things into the perfect wedding card for them. Random, but why not? After talking it over with my friend we agreed on yoda and the sentiment custom made in Microsoft Word  in true yoda style "With this marriage the force is strong"  Let me tell you this was a very fun and unique card to make but I loved it. I love really personalizing cards.   I printed Yoda and the pie off the internet and added some 3D whipping cream with my Marvy snow marker to create a fun look.   I love how Yoda is using the force to bring the pie to him too fun.  I hope the recipients love it as much as I loved creating it! Happy crafting! May the force and inspi

Happy birthday- 2 year touchdown

Hello! I'm back with this fun football Spider-Man themed card. This card was made for my friends son who just turned two and made it to the two year touchdown in life.  When I asked my friend what are two of her sons favorite things right now she said football and Spider-Man so I came up with card.   I printed the little Spider-Man pictures off the internet and created the football using My Favorite Things ALL-STAR Die-namics.   The inside of the card

Penguins go a caroling

Hello, Happy weekend! I know Christmas is still a bit away but I couldn't resist making this card with the new Here we go A-waddling set from Lawn Fawn. The Penguins and lamp post are stamped with momento tuxedo black ink  from the set. The Penguins are colored with Copic and spectrum noir markers.  The light post is watercolored with mustard seed distress ink.  The houses are from Tim Holtz Alterations die Townscape (Unfortunately this die is discontinued but there are similar dies out there that can help you achieve a similar look). Then the sky is water colored with faded jeans distress ink.  The windows are water colored again with the mustard seed distress ink.   To add the snow which has a 3D effect I used the marvy snow marker and used my heat tool to make it puffy. The snow in the sky is done by using a Sakura Jelly Roll white pen.  The tree is die cut from Simon Says stamps set Love builds a home.   The card base is a shappire sparkle paper I have in my s

Harvest of Plenty- Penguins meet Fall

Fall is upon us, Fall is coming and I've got lots of Fall cards coming right here to the blog. I've got lots of fun designs up my sleeve! This first card I had a lot of fun creating, I think this is what would happen if penguins lived in fall. They would trade in their snow for fall colors and a big amount of leaves, take them away on their sleds and jump in them too.  The leaves are from Lawn Fawn's Jump for Joy stamp set.  The penguins and sled are from  Lawn Fawn's toboggan together stamp set. The tree is due cut using the love makes a home set from Simon says stamp.  All images are stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and colored with either Copic markers or spectrum noir markers. I created the background with mini distress ink pads. The inks I used for that were tumbled glass and mowed lawn.  The sentiment is from a stamp set I found at the Dollarama and it's stamped on Vellum.  Challenges:  Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything

So thankful that we are friend- Fall edition

Hello there, I've got another Fall card to share with you. Can you tell I'm excited about Fall? It's defenitly one of my favorite seasons.  As you can see I can't get enough of Lawn Fawn's products as this card using multiple stamps from them again.  The leaves and sentiment are from the set Jump for Joy. (For the tree I simply put two leaf piles together, I love how it turned out) the squirrels and deer are from the Cheery Christmas set. Again the tree is die cut from Simon Says Stamp love builds a home.  All images are stamped in momento tuxedo black ink and colored with Copic or spectrum noir markers.   The background is created with mini distress inks. The distress ink colors used were tumbled glass and mowed lawn.  Challenge: Simon Says Wednesday Challenge "Anything goes" Affiliate Link Disclosure: I participate in various affiliate programs.
