Merry & Bright

Hello there, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in my craft room.  Therefore I’ve got a cute card to share with you today. This card also has a process video to accompany it over at my YouTube channel.  This will start off my Christmas card series for 2018, check it out below.  I’m back with another project for my guest designer spot over at Ephemorie Digital Designs. They are an Etsy shop specializing in Digital papers and more.  All the info to the shop and Facebook page are listed below.

I used some really great products that you will definitely want to check out.

To create this card I cut down Kraft card stock from Micheal’s Recollections card stock.  I also cut this super cute gnome paper. This is digital paper from Ephemorie Digital Designs. It’s from the Santa’s workshop paper pack.

For the stamped image I used this gnome from  the unity stamp company & Beth Duff Designs collaboration. This is the set peppermint mocha.  I stamped this guy in memento tuxedo black ink on some white sparkly paper from Micheal’s Recollections Card.  Then I used Barn Door distress ink to quickly watercolor this image.  I also used the Spectrum Noir color FS3 to color his nose and hands and feet.

Then it was time to adhere all my layers together. Before I did that I used Memento tuxedo black ink to distress the edges of the card base and patterned paper.  After that I adhered everything together using the Scotch advanced tape glider.  Then I used foam squares to pop up the elf two times. Once on Kraft cardstock and then again on the patterned paper to make it pop off the page.

Lastly my card needed a sentiment so I inked up the sentiment “Merry & Bright” from the unity Set peppermint mocha again with memento tuxedo black ink. Next I cut it down and create a flag and adhered the sentiment with the advanced tape glider and that finished off my card.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
