Christmas Family canvas 2018

Hello, I’ve started some Christmas projects and I’ve even decorated for Christmas too. When do you decorate for Christmas?

Today I’m sharing a different project with you that’s not a card.  As a guest designer for Ephemorie Digital Design I was asked to create not only cards but other projects too. Every once and awhile I like to do other DIY projects and create something different so I was up to the challenge. So I created this family Christmas canvas using the Digital letter size paper pack called North Pole.

Ephemorie Digital Design is an Etsy shop specializing in digital papers for scrapbooking, tags and journals and more with a vintage feel. Check them out at the links below.

I printed the "I love you to the North Pole and back" paper on my printer and then used Golden artists colors soft gel (gloss) to adhere it to the canvas. I thought this was such a cute sentiment on the paper. I knew I wanted to do something with it.  Then I printed of this cute family photo of us with our red wagon. This picture already felt christmassy to me because of the wagon so I felt it was the perfect fit. To adhere this to the canvas I used the soft gel (gloss) again.  I then printed out the Santa digital paper from the same set and cut one Santa out. I used the soft gel (gloss) to adhere him too.

I added the word Family with some wooden letters from Dollarama.  I colored them with the spectrum noir marker DR3.  Then I used my hot glue gun to adhere them to the canvas.  At the same time I adhered the bow that I made with some ribbon in my collection to the top of the canvas with the hot glue gun.

To finish off the canvas I added some red sparkly gem stickers that I also picked up at Dollarama to frame the word family and emphasize the word on the canvas.

I really love how this project turned out. I'm also very excited to add this piece to my Christmas decor for many years to come.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
