Cozy Christmas Decor

Happy Friday, I'm switching things up today in my Christmas card series. Today instead of a card we are making some Christmas decor.  Even though this project would make an excellent card and I know at some point I'll make some cards with these stamps too. Though when I first saw this stamp set it screamed Christmas decor to me. This is the 4th video in my Christmas card series over on YouTube, be sure to check them all out.  I'd love it if you would watch and subscribe. I've got a card/video coming every Monday and Friday leading up till Christmas.  I'm going to say it, All I want for Christmas is more YouTube subscribers.

Alright onto the project.  I used red rubber stamps from the Unity Stamp company and the Beth Duff Designs collaboration.  This set is called "Warmth of Home" and it's so fun and cozy.

I have some sad news to share with you today, one of my favorite companies Beth Duff Designs is closing down.  This makes me so sad, but I understand. I've loved working with Beth's stamps over the last few months and she's inspired me so much.  If you are interesting in getting her stamps before they are gone now is the time.  She will be closing sometime in December. I will leave a link below to her shop if you still want to grab some things before they are gone.  As for the Unity Stamps that I am using today, I cannot not say myself how long they will be available for as of now they are available I will also leave a link to their shop below if you want to add this set or others in the Beth Duff/Unity collaborations sets. There are six sets that Beth did with Unity Stamp Company.

I inked up the couch and carpet from the set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped them on some Spectrum Noir Premium white card stock.   I used a stamping platform that I made for a perfect impression.  Then it was time to color up this images and I used Spectrum Noir markers to do that.  I used DR5, CR11, BG6, DG3,EB8, TN8, BT5 and BT7.  These colors come from the Reds, Green, turquoise, warm greys and browns color packs. As a final touch to my coloring I added some sparkle using the clear wink of stella brush marker.

For the background I used distress inks on Ranger distress ink watercolor paper. I blended together wild honey, scattered straw and antique linen for the wall.  For the floor I used a distress oxide ink called vintage photo.  I used distress ink tools to blend the inks onto the paper.

At this point I was ready for the sentiment which reads "Home is where I want to be" which is from the same stamp set.  Using the stamping platform again I inked it up with memento tuxedo black ink and stamped it on my background piece.  Then I adhered the cut the carpet inn half and adhered it to the back of the couch using the Scotch advanced tape glider and to adhere the couch I used Elmer's dual tip glue.    To finish off everything I cut down some Kraft card stock from Micheal's Recollections card stock to fit inside the picture frame. Then using the Scotch advanced tape glider again adhered the background piece to the card stock and was ready to put it into the picture frame. The picture frame came from dollar tree.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
