Christmas in July Video Hop

Hello I've got one more Christmas in July card for you.   This is for another Christmas in July video hop over on YouTube. I started off by stamping the fireplace from the Cosy Christmas stamp set from Clearly besotted.  I stamped it in memento tuxedo black ink on the card base. Then I also stamped the fireplace on some Inkadinkadoo masking paper.  I also cut a half circle out of the masking paper for the carpet in the scene. After placing the masks down I was ready to use distress oxide inks to blend my background. I used vintage photo, broken china and cracked pistachio distress inks. I used the Dollarama makeup brush to do the blending.  Then it was time to take off the masks. Then I colored the fireplace and added some details to the carpet with spectrum noir markers. Next I stamped the penguins from the Lawn Fawn Here we go a waddling in memento tuxedo black ink.  I also colored  these in spectrum noir markers.   The colors I u...

Christmas in July Recycle with me #15 Christmas packaging

Hello there, I've got a another card in my Christmas in July mini series over on my YouTube channel today.   It's also part of my Recycle with me series over on YouTube. For Today's cards, I made three of them over on the video.  I used a Rae Dunn Christmas mug set box.  I really liked the designs on it and it reminded me of stamp designs that you would stamp on your projects.  I also loved the red on the kraft color.  Stamping on craft card stock can look so good. I feel like this recycled piece already accomplished that look with one less step. I cut apart the box and cut out the red designs.  Then I was ready to make the cards.  I used the Advanced Tape Glider to adhere various pieces from the packaging to the card base.  Then used nuvo drops in different spots to create some very simple cards. I used autumn red, might night blue and English mustard nuvo drops. to   To watch the Video directly on YouTu...

Christmas in July Recycle with me #14 Candy Cane Green Tea

Hello there, today I start my Christmas in July series over on my YouTube channel. There will be 4 videos in total in this series. Today’s card is a super simple one. My friend Diane send me this Trader Joes candy cane green tea packaging.  I know I needed to turn it into a card.   I simply cut down a cardbase. Cut a few lines off the green packaging and trimmed down the cardboard where the image with the polar bear was.  Then I grabbed out the scotch advanced tape glider to adhere the two stripes and the bigger picture onto the cardbase leaving room between. Then to finish off the card I used Autumn red crystal nuvo drops to add a raised effect to the card. This also allowed me to bring the red from the packaging out a bit more.   You could definitely add a Christmas sentiment to the front or inside of this card but I personally wanted this Recycled piece to shine. Caffeinated Dino- 1 Stamp set, 2 ways Collab with Jessica Shier

I've got a fun card today using the caffeinated dino from the Rabbit Hole Designs.  Of course there is a video over on my YouTube Channel where you can watch the process.  Today's video is also a collab with Jessica Shier she did a video over on her channel too. We both used the same stamp set and did a summer theme. We came up with two different cards. I started off by using the sixxiz sidekick machine to cut out some grass using the My favorite things "Grassy edges" die.  Then I used the Big shot machine to cut out the sun rays embossed background using a Tim Holtz embossing folder and my big shot machine. Next I adhered the embossed background to the card base with the Scotch advanced tape glider. I then adhered the grass with the Xyron sticker maker over the embossed sun rays. At this point I was ready to stamp and color the dino. I stamped it in memento tuxedo black ink and colored it in spectrum noir markers.  The colors I used were CG1, JG6, TB3, CT3, ...

Lawn Fawn Penguin Happy Birthday (Music Themed) Husband takes over the voiceover on YouTube

Hello There, I've got a fun Birthday card for you today. Also I switched things up over on my YouTube channel and got my husband to do the voice over. We did this for a few reasons. One it's my birthday, he's a guitar player and loved this card I created and I created this card for our work music recital for a raffle prize. For today's card I used Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink and Broken China Distress Oxide ink to blend a background on the card base.  I used the Dollarama make up brush to blend these two colors together.  Then I was ready to stamp the penguin from Lawn Fawn's Here we go a waddling stamp set.  So this is a Christmas set. Though I wanted to see it as a non Christmas penguin.  I used Memento Tuxedo black in and only put ink on the penguin and not his Christmas hat.  I stamped it on the paper and started coloring with my spectrum noir markers.   With the markers I just drew in the top of his head where the hat would of been....
