Christmas in July Video Hop

Hello I've got one more Christmas in July card for you.   This is for another Christmas in July video hop over on YouTube.

I started off by stamping the fireplace from the Cosy Christmas stamp set from Clearly besotted.  I stamped it in memento tuxedo black ink on the card base. Then I also stamped the fireplace on some Inkadinkadoo masking paper.  I also cut a half circle out of the masking paper for the carpet in the scene.

After placing the masks down I was ready to use distress oxide inks to blend my background. I used vintage photo, broken china and cracked pistachio distress inks. I used the Dollarama makeup brush to do the blending.  Then it was time to take off the masks.

Then I colored the fireplace and added some details to the carpet with spectrum noir markers.

Next I stamped the penguins from the Lawn Fawn Here we go a waddling in memento tuxedo black ink.  I also colored  these in spectrum noir markers.   The colors I used were BG8, BG6, BG4, CR10, CR11, CT4, BT5, BT4, TN8 and OR1.

After everything was colored I adhered all the critters to the card base with the Xyron sticker maker.   Then it was time for the sentiment which came from the Lawn Fawn Here we go a waddling stamp set.   I stamped it in memento tuxedo black ink. "We wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. "

To finish off the card I used morning dew nuvo drops over the fire and I used English mustard nuvo drops on the lanterns on the mantle.  I also used the sakura white jelly roll pen to add some highlights to the stamped images.

Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Christmas in July!
