Recycle with me #17 Frozen Raspberry Package

Hello there it's been awhile since I shared a card or two with you.  I've been enjoying summer with my family and things just kept coming up in the last month that kept me from posting. I was still creating though and I've got lots to share with you soon. I've also got lots of ideas for cards and projects so stay tuned. Today I've got two very simple cards to share with you. They a part of my Recycle with me Series over on my YouTube channel.   For Today's recycle with me cards I used a frozen raspberry package.   I was able to create two cards with the picture of the berries on the packaging. I first started by cutting out the raspberries on the packaging to use on my card.  Then I grabbed a white card base that I had previously cut from Micheal's Recollections card stock.  At this point I was ready to adhere the berries to my card base. To do that I used the Scotch Advanced Tape Glider to adhere the berries to the card.  Next came the sent...

Recycle with me #16 Dollar Tree Summer Tags

Hello there, today I've got 3 card to share with you today. They are part of my Recycle with me series over on my YouTube channel.  For Today's cards I recycled product tags from some Dollar Tree items I bought over the summer. For the first card I used a super cute Toucan tag from a decor sign I bought from Dollar tree to decorate for summer.  To make the card I used a white card stock for the base.  I added some blue twine to the tag in a loop.  I used some thin blue washi tape from Dollar tree and added into a boarder around my sentiment.   For the sentiment I used a wood mounted stamp from Micheal's that says "Toucan have my heart".  I stamped it in My Favorite Things after midnight hybrid ink.   At this point I also cut out some hearts from some left over Valentine's day cards to add to my card.  A bonus recycled material.   After stamping the sentiment and the toucan from the stamp I used my spectrum noir markers to a...

Encouragement Card Hop- Celebrating all Crafters -Lawn Fawn Summer Concert

Hello there today I'm apart of a encouragement card hop.  The Encouragement Card Hop is different than the typical hop.  It is not a blog hop, or video hop, it’s a card hop.   This is a hop organized to include all crafters.   There are three ways to to find inspiration along the way: YouTube videos, blog posts,  and a future YouTube video sharing cards that were mailed in just for the hop. I'm participating in a YouTube video. I started off stamping the stump from Lawn Fawn's forest feast stamp set in vintage photo distress ink.   I colored the stump in with a brown pencil crayon to add some color.  Then I also stamped the stump on some Inkadinkadoo masking paper and cut out the mask. Then I put the mask over the stump and I was able to create m background. I used broken china distress oxide ink for the sky. I used a Dollarama make up brush to blend the ink onto the card base.  For the grass I used Mowed Lawn distress ink....

Christmas in July Video Hop

Hello I've got one more Christmas in July card for you.   This is for another Christmas in July video hop over on YouTube. I started off by stamping the fireplace from the Cosy Christmas stamp set from Clearly besotted.  I stamped it in memento tuxedo black ink on the card base. Then I also stamped the fireplace on some Inkadinkadoo masking paper.  I also cut a half circle out of the masking paper for the carpet in the scene. After placing the masks down I was ready to use distress oxide inks to blend my background. I used vintage photo, broken china and cracked pistachio distress inks. I used the Dollarama makeup brush to do the blending.  Then it was time to take off the masks. Then I colored the fireplace and added some details to the carpet with spectrum noir markers. Next I stamped the penguins from the Lawn Fawn Here we go a waddling in memento tuxedo black ink.  I also colored  these in spectrum noir markers.   The colors I u...

Christmas in July Recycle with me #15 Christmas packaging

Hello there, I've got a another card in my Christmas in July mini series over on my YouTube channel today.   It's also part of my Recycle with me series over on YouTube. For Today's cards, I made three of them over on the video.  I used a Rae Dunn Christmas mug set box.  I really liked the designs on it and it reminded me of stamp designs that you would stamp on your projects.  I also loved the red on the kraft color.  Stamping on craft card stock can look so good. I feel like this recycled piece already accomplished that look with one less step. I cut apart the box and cut out the red designs.  Then I was ready to make the cards.  I used the Advanced Tape Glider to adhere various pieces from the packaging to the card base.  Then used nuvo drops in different spots to create some very simple cards. I used autumn red, might night blue and English mustard nuvo drops. to   To watch the Video directly on YouTu...

Christmas in July Recycle with me #14 Candy Cane Green Tea

Hello there, today I start my Christmas in July series over on my YouTube channel. There will be 4 videos in total in this series. Today’s card is a super simple one. My friend Diane send me this Trader Joes candy cane green tea packaging.  I know I needed to turn it into a card.   I simply cut down a cardbase. Cut a few lines off the green packaging and trimmed down the cardboard where the image with the polar bear was.  Then I grabbed out the scotch advanced tape glider to adhere the two stripes and the bigger picture onto the cardbase leaving room between. Then to finish off the card I used Autumn red crystal nuvo drops to add a raised effect to the card. This also allowed me to bring the red from the packaging out a bit more.   You could definitely add a Christmas sentiment to the front or inside of this card but I personally wanted this Recycled piece to shine.
