Christmas in July Video Hop/Christmas in July card series 2020 #2

Hello Saturday!! Hello there, thanks for coming back to my blog today. I've got another card in my Christmas in July card series over on YouTube.  This one is also part of a bigger Christmas in July hop over on YouTube. So if you need motivation and inspiration to get your Christmas projects started early definitely head on over to my video watch and check the description box for the next person in the hop.

There are prizes along the way too so listen closely for contest details as they may be different per channel.   Our hop starts today Saturday July 11th, 2020 and goes through Friday July 17th. This gives you plenty of time to watch and comment on all of our videos. The giveaways will be announced by July 22nd on each individual channel and a list of all the winners will be over at Taylormadecards4u.com/blog.

For my card today I created another fun summer themed Christmas card.   I used the Rabbit Hole Designs "Caffeinated Flamingo" to create a fun scene card. I decided to create another slimline card.  I used a cloud stencil and a wave stencil I created in my Silhouette cameo machine using some cut files from the design store and some stencil material.  I then used some distress oxide ink and a blender brush to create the scene with the stencils.

I stamped the flamingo image in memento tuxedo black ink and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers. I also stamped a palm tree from another stamp set from Lawn Fawn "Critters from the past".  I colored that also with spectrum noir markers. To add Christmas lights onto the palm tree I used another Lawn Fawn stamp set Called "Cheery Christmas" and stamped those directly on the card panel once the tree had been adhered and added some color with the spectrum noir markers.

For the Santa hat on the flamingo at first I tried to cut out my own hat with card stock but it didn't look so good. So I went online and found a clip art of a Santa hat and printed it out in a small size that would fit on the flamingo's head.  I then used the Marvey snow marker which is a puffy paint and when you add heat to it it puffs up giving it a texture and raised effect. To apply the heat I used the Marvey heat tool.

For the sentiments all were stamped in memento tuxedo black ink.  For the first sentiment I used an older $1.50 wood mounted stamp from Michael's that says "There is no place like home for the holidays"  I also used some Simon Says Stamp Clear embossing powder on this and used my heat tool to melt the embossing powder.   I then stamped the two hashtag sentiments from the Caffeinated Flamingo stamp set #blahmingo and #flamingofuel. Added some foam dots to the first sentiment that was shaped like a home and popped that on the panel. Then once that was done I adhered the panel to the card base with the Advanced Tape glider.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
