Today I’ve got this fun birthday card to share with you. I made this a little while ago but it didn’t make it to the blog so here it is now.
Thank you for coming by today! Hope you have a great day!

First I stamped the image from My Favorite Things from the Pure Innocence “Heart Strings” stamp Set in memento tuxedo black ink. (This stamp set is retired, sorry) Then I colored it with my Spectrum noir markers. I used TN2, BP2, PL4, TN8, BT7 and true black to finish off the edges after I fussy cut out the image.
For the sentiment I used Simon Says Stamp it’s no secret stamp set. I embossed it with Simon Says Stamp clear embossing powder and heat set it with the Marvey heat tool. I also outlined the sentiment border using PL4 from my Spectrum noir markers.
For the embossed background I used the Cuttlebug by Provo craft embossing folder called spots and dots. I used my Sizzix big shot machine for this. (This embossing folder is no longer aviable I linked to Kraisercraft distressed dots, which is similar)
Then I distressed the edges of the embossed background with memento tuxedo black ink.
To adhere everything together I used the scotch advanced tape glider. Lastly to finish it off I added purple sequins from the craft medley cup sequins. To adhere these I tried something new I used the Xyron sticker maker to put the sequins on. For this particular card I didn’t have time to wait for the glue to dry when adding sequins so this was a great solution.
Thank you for coming by today! Hope you have a great day!
