Recycle with me #18 Bubble wands and distress oxide inks

Hello there,  I have two fun birthday cards to share with you today.  I love how this turned out and they were so fun to make.  These cards are part of my Recycle with me series over on my YouTube channel.    So for today's cards I used some bubble wands as a stencil along with my distress oxide inks to create these fun backgrounds for my cards.  As I was going through my kids summer toys and organizing I had an idea come to my mind to use these bubble wands as stencils.  So of course I had to experiment. Also one of the handles had broken off and there are just so many fun shapes in these bubble wands.  It would also be a great stencil for  kids to learn how to draw shapes.  Now your bubble wands can have a use all year long. These cards were super simple to make.  For the first card I used Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink and blended it onto my card base with the Dollarama make up brush.  Then I took the star bubb...

Fall 2019 Card Series/Avery Elle Birthday Bus switch up to the Fall Bus #1

Hello there, today starts my Fall card series here on my blog and over on my YouTube channel. I am so excited to be starting this card series.   Stay tuned for more Fall themed cards and projects over the next month or so. Now on to today's card I used the Avery Elle Stamp "Birthday Bus". I was going to make a birthday card that was fall themed and I could of still. But as I started coloring the bus became the "Pumpkin Patch Express" and for the bigger sentiment I decided to write "Happy Fall" with the black wink of stella pen. I stamped the bus in Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with my spectrum  noir markers.  I don't recommend this ink for coloring with alcohol markers. If you watch the video you will see it smudges with the colors quite a bit. I actually took a black pen and outlined the stamp to help bring it back out since it smudged a bit. For the pumpkin I used Hello Bluebirds "Halloween Party" stamp se...

Lawn Fawn Pop up box card "Summer Edition"

Hi there, today I've got a video over on my YouTube channel using the Lawn Fawn pop up box die to make a card.  This kind of card is so fun as it folds flat to fit in an envelope but when you take it out it pops up into a box.  It's easier to watch the video for me to explain it here, it's a long video but I hope you enjoy it.  All the pieces to make the box were cut on the the Big shot Machine.   Thank you so much for coming by today. I hope you enjoy this summer card as summer fades away and fall comes.   To watch the Video directly on YouTube <-------CLICK HERE Affiliate Link Disclosure: I participate in various affiliate programs. Lawn Fawn Hammock & Tree Die "Have a relaxing Day"

Hello there I'm back with another card for you today.  It features some Lawn Fawn products once again.  There is also a video over on my YouTube channel.  I started by blending my background on the card base.  I used broken china, black soot and fossilized amber distress oxide inks and blended them using the Dollarama make up brush to create a scene.   Then I used a paint brush and water and splattered it over the distress oxide ink and used paper towel to lift the ink off the paper. Then I used the Sixxiz sidekick machine to cut the Lawn Fawn Hammock & tree dies.  Once those were all cut I used some chalk markers to draw some simple doodles on the black ground.  The idea behind this was my kids drawing on the cement in our backyard.  To adhere the Hammock and trees to the card I used the Xyron Sticker maker and assembled the hammock together. For the sentiment I used the stamp set On the Beach from Lawn Fawn and used the sentim...

Lawn Fawn Peacock Before and Afters

Hello there, I've got a very simple card for you today using the Lawn Fawn stamp set Peacock Before and Afters. I cut down a card base from Micheal's Recollection card stock.  I then used the bone folder to smooth out the card fold and make sure it was flat. At this point I stamped the peacock from the stamp set in memento tuxedo black ink and colored it in with spectrum noir markers.  I used JG6, CG1, BT9 and CT4 to color the peacock for a camouflage look.  After cutting out the peacock and I used cracked pistachio distress oxide  ink and the Dollarama make up brush to create a circle for the peacock to sit on. Then I was ready to work on the sentiment which was also from the same set.  I stamped strut your stuff, shake your tail feathers! and you must be proud as a peacock! on some green card stock. I used Simon Says Stamp clear embossing ink to stamp it.  Then I used Simon Says Stamp white embossing powder and melted the powder with the Marvey he...
