Recycle with me #7 Baby wipes package

Hello there, Happy Weekend!  I've got four cards to share with you today. They are featured in my recycle with me series over on my YouTube channel. So be sure to go over there and check out the video.  For today's recycle with me project I used images from baby wipes packages.

I had two different wipes packages. I started by cutting the images off the package. Then I was ready to start creating my cards.  I cut down my card base from Micheal's Recollections card stock and then got creating.

For the first card I started by using Wilted Violet distress oxide ink and the Dollarama make up brush to lightly add some color to the card base. I had also grabbed a stripe of purple card stock from my scraps bin and put it through the big shot machine to add a bit of embossing.   Then I adhered the stripe to the card base using the Scotch Advanced Tape Glider.  I tried adhering the image from the wipes container with the Advanced tape glider. Though it didn't work well as the material is very thin and so I needed to come up with a different method for adhering the baby wipes pieces to the card.   Stay tuned, I'll tell you with the next card.  Lastly I added the sentiment to the card I used the big "Happy Birthday" from Simon Says Stamp It's no secret stamp set.  I used black soot distress oxide ink to stamp it. The stamping didn't come out perfectly so I used an American Crafts precision pen to fix the stamped writing.

For the second card I also used a stripe of card stock from my scraps bin and again used the big shot machine to add some embossing to it.  Then I used Memento Tuxedo black ink to add the sentiment to that stripe of paper. I used this baby wood mounted stamp from Micheal's from awhile back.   For the background on the card base I used broken china distress oxide ink and blended it on with the Dollarama make up brush.  Lastly I added the image from the baby wipes package and this time I used a glue stick. This helped adhere image well and it went on smooth and worked with the thin material.

For the third card I used the broken china distress oxide ink again and blended it onto the card base.  I wanted it to look like a sky with clouds.  Then I adhered four pieces from the baby wipes package to create a sky scene. I used a glue stick to adhere everything.  Then I stamped the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I made a thank you card using a wood mounted stamp from Micheal's from awhile ago. The sentiment reads "thanks for you kindness".

For the fourth card I used spun sugar distress ink mini directly on the card base creating a textured look for the background.   Then I glued the sheep image from the baby wipes package to a piece of black card stock and cut around it creating a boarder around the image.  Then I adhered that image to the card base.  Off camera I stamped the sentiment in fossilized amber distress oxide ink. The sentiment says with love.  It's also a wood mounted stamp from Micheal's from awhile back.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
