Honey Bee Stamps Coffee Break- Switch it up Tea for Fall

Hello, it's Saturday and I have a new card to share with you with a process video over on my YouTube channel, watch the video below or click the link to watch it in HD.

Alright onto today's card I used my Big Shot machine to emboss my background which is from Tim Holtz Alterations  Christmas texture fades Holiday Knit 2.  (This embossing folder is discontinued, I'm sorry but I wanted to use what I had.)  I used this embossing folder to create the sweater effect as the sentiment from the patterned paper I used reads early sunsets, warm tea and big sweaters.

The patterned paper with the sentiment is from Micheal's Recollections "Autumn Dreams" Hot buy paper pad.

I prepared my card base using Micheal's Recollections card stock and for all the cutting I used the Friskers paper cutter.

Then I used the Stamp set Coffee Break from Honey Bee Stamps and stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Ranger Distress Watercolor card stock.  Then I took Tim Holtz mini distress inks and applied them to a acrylic block to water color them with a Sakura water brush.  The distress inks I used were Carved pumpkin, candied apple, ground espresso, weathered wood and picked raspberry.

After I fussy cut my image out I used the black copic marker to finish off the edges and take away the white edges. This helps give your cut images a more finished look.

To adhere everything together I used the scotch Advanced Tape Glider.  Lastly I used the clear wink of stella brush tip marker to add some sparkle to the coffee/tea cup. I felt that with the foiling on the sentiment from the patterned paper that the image just needed a little something to finish it off.

I hope you're enjoying the fall weather and getting a bit of a chance for a cozy time with a warm sweater and a cup of tea. Or what is the whether like for you in fall? Is it cold? Let me know in the comments below what your favorite things about fall are, how you celebrate fall or what your favorite tea is?

Thanks for coming by today. Don't forget to check out the video and leave a comment here or on the video. I'd love to hear your feedback. Have a great weekend!

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
