Dinosaur Thank You Cards

My friend just hosted a baby shower for me and my soon coming baby boy.  He could arrive any day now as the baby's due date is April 5th.  Anyways the theme of the shower was "Dinosaurs"! So to thank my friends for all their wonderful gifts these are the Thank You cards I created for them.  I really love how these cards turned out! They are RAWR-TASTIC!!

To create these super cute dinosaurs I used the Lawn Fawn Stamp set "Critters from the Past". I'd wanted this set of stamps for awhile now and recently got my hands on them to create with and just in time too for this dinosaur themed shower. I helped my friend do all the decorations for the shower too. Mostly using this stamp set and a few other resources too. (I'll have another blog post on some more of the details on the decorations I created soon, stay tuned)  For the card base I decided to go with a basic kraft paper and the sentiment is embossed in white and it says "Thank you for your Kindness". I really like the dinosaur and this sentiment together it brings fun and elegant together in a simple way.

These little dinosaurs were actually created as muffin toppers for the shower and I saved them and then used them on the thank you cards. Why not, I went to a lot of work to stamp, colour and cut them out for that use and instead of throwing them away and making brand new ones I just used what I'd already made. I thought it was a great idea!

I am actually entering the into The Simon Says Wednesday Challenge for the week. This week's theme is "Things that fly" and guess what the pterodactyl can fly so it's the perfect card for this challenge.
