Recycle with me #17 Frozen Raspberry Package

Hello there it's been awhile since I shared a card or two with you.  I've been enjoying summer with my family and things just kept coming up in the last month that kept me from posting. I was still creating though and I've got lots to share with you soon. I've also got lots of ideas for cards and projects so stay tuned.

Today I've got two very simple cards to share with you. They a part of my Recycle with me Series over on my YouTube channel.   For Today's recycle with me cards I used a frozen raspberry package.   I was able to create two cards with the picture of the berries on the packaging.

I first started by cutting out the raspberries on the packaging to use on my card.  Then I grabbed a white card base that I had previously cut from Micheal's Recollections card stock.  At this point I was ready to adhere the berries to my card base. To do that I used the Scotch Advanced Tape Glider to adhere the berries to the card.  Next came the sentiment I used some red craft smart ink I had in my collection to match the red of the raspberries.  For the sentiments I used some retired "Stampin Up" stamps called "Fruity Phrases" from 2001 that I had in my collection that I love.  This stamp set is a set of 4 but I chose the sentiments "Thank you berry much" and "You're the berry best".

That pretty much finished up the cards but for the 2nd card I added some red polka dot fabric tape to add a little bit of interest to the card and finish it up.  I wanted to keep these cards super simple and they really didn't need a lot added to them. One thing I loved about this recycled material is the packaging was shiny so that added a lot to the finished look of the card.

Thank you berry much for stopping by the blog today.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
