Pumpkin Spice it up

Hi there, I made this card last month for a friend's birthday. I thought I should share it before winter hits too much and pumpkin spice is really a thing of the past until next year of course.

I used the greeting farm/Simon Says Stamps Stamptember exclusive "pumpkin Spice it up" I used a Sizzix embossing folder with the coffee beans for the background. From my google it seems to not be available anymore. The sentiment inside the pumpkin is from Simon Says Stamp's set called "It's no secret"

The images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then colored in Copic and Spectrum noir markers.  I used a Sakura Jelly Roll 08 white pen to add details and polka dots to the image.

As we head into the Christmas season may you enjoy family, friends, pumpkin pie and all things that come with the holidays.   Thanks, for stopping by I hope you like this project and that it inspires you today!

Getting kids crafty December Blog Hop

Hello, I recently became a designer for get kids crafty. Each month there is a blog hop with a different theme showing ways to get kids crafty. You can check out the Facebook page here Get Kids Crafty Facebook page

I'm a stay at home mom right now and I'm crafty so why not get my kids more crafty.  I thought this would be an extra fun way to do it.

You can use your own crafting supplies, kids crafty stuff or anything you can find to be crafty with.  I hope all these crafts inspire you to be crafty with your kids this holiday season.

This months theme is fireplace/s'mores theme.

I decided to create a s'mores stick sign as a ornament for our tree with my son Riley. He's 2 1/2 so together we created a fun ornament as a Christmas gift for daddy!

Our first step was to find a stick outside to make our s'mores sticks. So we went on an adventure outside to find that.

"I found it Mommy!"

I wrote out "Daddy, I love you s'more much" in white crayon so that Riley could use distress inks over it and create a resist on the crayon. Watercolor paint could also be used.  Riley used two different colors of distress inks that he picked himself and he just sponged them on the paper. We used Carved Pumpkin and Lucky Clover distress inks.

Then he added cotton balls to the end of the sticks to create marshmallows at the end of the sticks. He loved this step!

Riley then helped me trim the paper around the saying we inked up.

He then helped me punch holes in the paper to add Ribbon to attach the paper to the sticks.

Here is the finished craft!

Happy howl-o-ween!

This card is a bit late to the blog as Halloween has already pasted. Though I still wanted to share this card with you. Better late than never.

I made this for a friend who had two chocolate labs just for fun. I love how this scene card turned out.

I used Lawn Fawn's stamp set wish upon for the constellations and happy howl-o-ween set. I also used Lawn Fawns birch tree dies.  The grass is cut with my Favorite Things grassy edges die-namics.

The background is done using faded Jean and mowed lawn distress inks and the images are colored  with Copic markers.

The star constellations are stamped and then embossed with white embossing powder to get the distress ink to resist it.

Thank you- Western themed

Howdy today I have this cowboy themed thank you card to share with you.  I made a bunch of these for my husband's previous job he worked at a camp that was a ranch and there he worked at in the kitchen.

I used the paisley embossing folder that I had in my stash.  I used frayed burlap distress inks on the embossing. The cowboy boot stamp I found at a thrift store and it doesn't actual have any company information on it.  I heat embossed it with Simon Says clear embossing powder ad colored it in with copic markers.  I distressed the circle with walnut stain distress ink. The circle is from Spellbinders Nestabilities dies and its the Standard Circles Large.   The sentiment is from a dollar store stamp set.

Happy Birthday- Canucks Hockey

It's Monday and I've got a card to share with you today that was actual a custom order for someone who likes the Vancouver Canucks Hockey team.

It was a very simple card to make I just cut paper to make it look like a hockey jersey and printed off the Canucks logo.  Then I stamped the sentiment Happy Birthday to you! and colored it in using spectrum noir markers. Then I added a puck and skate sticker I had in my sticker collection to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned I've been making a lot of cards and I'll be posting them soon. Happy crafting!!

Happy Birthday You!

Hello Hello!  I recently made these cards for my nieces birthdays which are October 15th and October 21st. My niece Florence turned 5 and as you can tell she likes pink.  My niece Fiona turned 9 and she likes the color blue.  They are amazing girls and like a lot of the same things though they both love tsum tsum so I added a tsum tsum balloon to finish off the card and add a bit of their personality and something they like.

I used My Favorite Things Pure Innocence ``Birthday Girl`` stamp (This particular stamp is retired).  I colored her up with copic markers and spectrum noir markers. He hair is colored with black pencil crayon and black pen for the detailing.

The embossing folder is one I have in my crafty stash.  I inked them up with spun sugar and salty ocean distress inks.  I added glitter to the word you and to the girls dresses using the clear wink of stella brush.

Lastly the Happy Birthday sentiment is from Avery Elle`s stamp set ``Birthday Bus``.  I embossed the sentiment using Micheal`s Recollections embossing powder snow.

Pumpkin spice

It's the start of a new week and I've got a pumpkin spice themed card to share with you today! I love how this card turned out. I ended up making three of these cards as I sold them.

The coffee cup and sentiment are a digital stamp from Pretty cute stamps.  On the lid of the coffee cup I used the marvey snow marker with the marvey heat tool to add some texture to the lid.  The cup is colored in with Copic and spectrum noir markers.

The pumpkin is a $1.50 stamp from micheals I got awhile back. It's stamp in color box orange ink and embossed with ranger fine detail clear embossing powder.

Happy crafting this week! Stay tuned I've been making lots of cards and I've got a bunch coming to the blog soon!
