Pumpkin spice

It's the start of a new week and I've got a pumpkin spice themed card to share with you today! I love how this card turned out. I ended up making three of these cards as I sold them.

The coffee cup and sentiment are a digital stamp from Pretty cute stamps.  On the lid of the coffee cup I used the marvey snow marker with the marvey heat tool to add some texture to the lid.  The cup is colored in with Copic and spectrum noir markers.

The pumpkin is a $1.50 stamp from micheals I got awhile back. It's stamp in color box orange ink and embossed with ranger fine detail clear embossing powder.

Happy crafting this week! Stay tuned I've been making lots of cards and I've got a bunch coming to the blog soon!

Happy Birthday- Fall Forest Edition

Hello there and Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! I hope your weekend has been full of family, friends, laughter, good food and lots of blessings.  If you haven`t already take some time to reflect on what you`re thankful for and the many things that you are blessed with.

Today I`ve got a fall themed card to share with you that was a custom order from a friend. I really enjoyed creating this card for her.  It features the Lawn fawn stamp set Jump for Joy.  The trees are dies from Lawn Fawn called Birch trees.  The cake is from Avery Elle`s birthday bus stamp set.  I used moved lawn and tumbled glass distress inks to create the background. The images are stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with copic or spectrum noir markers.  I also added some sparkle to the cake using the clear wink of stella marker.

Happy Fall and Happy crafting!

Birthday wishes, Pumpkin spice latte edition

Fall is just around the corner and September 1st marked the season of Pumpkin Spice lattes at Starbucks. So I created this birthday card for my friend who had a birthday coming up and works at Starbucks too.

The coffee cup and inside sentiment are digital stamps from Pretty Cute Stamps.  The birthday wishes sentiment is from a set I found at Dollar Tree and it's stamped on vellum. It's then embossed using embossing powder to finish it off.  The pumpkin image is a $1.50 stamp from Micheal's I've had for awhile stamped with orange ink from color box.  The make a wish circle is from that same set of stamps from dollar tree. It's stamped with the orange ink from color box and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The brown Chevron look is done with a stencil from Heidi Swapp and inked with walnut stain distress ink. Then finally I added some sparkle to the inside and outside with the clear wink of Stella pen.

May you week be pumpkin spice and everything nice!

With this marriage the force is strong

Hello Hello! I've got another fun card to share with you all! This is a completely custom order card from my friend.  She was recently invited to a wedding where the groom really likes Star Wars and the Bride likes desserts especially pie with lots of whipped cream. So my friend wanted to combine their two favorite things into the perfect wedding card for them. Random, but why not? After talking it over with my friend we agreed on yoda and the sentiment custom made in Microsoft Word  in true yoda style "With this marriage the force is strong"

Let me tell you this was a very fun and unique card to make but I loved it. I love really personalizing cards.

I printed Yoda and the pie off the internet and added some 3D whipping cream with my Marvy snow marker to create a fun look.

I love how Yoda is using the force to bring the pie to him too fun.

I hope the recipients love it as much as I loved creating it!

Happy crafting! May the force and inspiration be on your side in all your crafty projects this week.

Happy birthday- 2 year touchdown

Hello! I'm back with this fun football Spider-Man themed card. This card was made for my friends son who just turned two and made it to the two year touchdown in life.  When I asked my friend what are two of her sons favorite things right now she said football and Spider-Man so I came up with card.

I printed the little Spider-Man pictures off the internet and created the football using My Favorite Things ALL-STAR Die-namics.

Penguins go a caroling

Hello, Happy weekend! I know Christmas is still a bit away but I couldn't resist making this card with the new Here we go A-waddling set from Lawn Fawn.

The Penguins and lamp post are stamped with momento tuxedo black ink  from the set. The Penguins are colored with Copic and spectrum noir markers.  The light post is watercolored with mustard seed distress ink.

The houses are from Tim Holtz Alterations die Townscape (Unfortunately this die is discontinued but there are similar dies out there that can help you achieve a similar look). Then the sky is water colored with faded jeans distress ink.  The windows are water colored again with the mustard seed distress ink.

To add the snow which has a 3D effect I used the marvy snow marker and used my heat tool to make it puffy. The snow in the sky is done by using a Sakura Jelly Roll white pen.  The tree is die cut from Simon Says stamps set Love builds a home.

The card base is a shappire sparkle paper I have in my stash and then finished off with white card stock.

Lastly the sentiment is stamped on the inside using momento tuxedo black ink and it's from the same Lawn Fawn stamp set.

Harvest of Plenty- Penguins meet Fall

Fall is upon us, Fall is coming and I've got lots of Fall cards coming right here to the blog. I've got lots of fun designs up my sleeve!

This first card I had a lot of fun creating, I think this is what would happen if penguins lived in fall. They would trade in their snow for fall colors and a big amount of leaves, take them away on their sleds and jump in them too.

The leaves are from Lawn Fawn's Jump for Joy stamp set.  The penguins and sled are from  Lawn Fawn's toboggan together stamp set. The tree is due cut using the love makes a home set from Simon says stamp.

All images are stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and colored with either Copic markers or spectrum noir markers. I created the background with mini distress ink pads. The inks I used for that were tumbled glass and mowed lawn.

The sentiment is from a stamp set I found at the Dollarama and it's stamped on Vellum.

So thankful that we are friend- Fall edition

Hello there, I've got another Fall card to share with you. Can you tell I'm excited about Fall? It's defenitly one of my favorite seasons.

As you can see I can't get enough of Lawn Fawn's products as this card using multiple stamps from them again.

The leaves and sentiment are from the set Jump for Joy. (For the tree I simply put two leaf piles together, I love how it turned out) the squirrels and deer are from the Cheery Christmas set.

Again the tree is die cut from Simon Says Stamp love builds a home.  All images are stamped in momento tuxedo black ink and colored with Copic or spectrum noir markers.   The background is created with mini distress inks. The distress ink colors used were tumbled glass and mowed lawn.

Thanks

Hello there, I keep meaning to be more active on here but it just doesn't happen.  I've been crafting though mostly scrapbooking.  Also with the day to days of family life blogging gets lost in the day. I'm trying to find my groove still.  I'll get there!

In the meantime I have a card to share with you today. I've been really inspired lately to make thank you cards as it's something always needed and I want to have some in my stash available when I need them.

Here is the card:

Let me tell you a little bit of this card and the supplies used.  I used a self-adhesive stencil from the Jot brand from dollar tree/dollar giant . So super inexpensive way of getting stencils for less. There was a few different designs to choose from. I hope they come out with more designs because they work great and are reusable which is great.  Stay tuned for cards using more of these dollar store stencils.

To ink up the stencils I used Tim holtz distress inks (mini) and the thanks is from an old die I have in my stash and all I did was add some black glitter paper behind the stenciled panel and used my clear wink of Stella pen to add some glitter to the word thanks to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great day!

So thankful for your kindness

Since we recently had a baby there were a few people I wanted to make thank you cards for as they gave us some gifts for our little one.

I used some lawn fawn stamps to create this card! The grass is a MFT die. The background was done using Tim Holtz distress inks and the images are colored with Copic and spectrum noir markers.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Planner paper clips

Today I've got something different to share with you.  I'm trying to get my crafting groove back as my family adjusts to life with two kids. It's definitely challenging but I love it and wouldn't change it for anything. My kids are my joy and they inspire me too!

Anyways, I just made these DIY paper clips for my planner. I love them and I think I'm addicted, hehe! I think I'll have to make more!! I used some lawn fawn stamps and not sure where the cupcake stamp comes from.

Happy Saturday! Thanks for stopping by, hope your day is great and filled with lots of happiness and crafty time!

Stay tuned and check back soon. I've got some thank you cards to share on the blog in the next few days!

Thank you "metallic flowers"

Hello and happy Saturday, I can't believe June is over and July is here. Time is just flying by. I'm really glad I'm able to catch up and share with you the things I've been making in the last few weeks or so. I also hope to find some time to craft it will just take me sometime to get back into the groove of things. So stay tuned, this girl is not giving up on crafting anytime soon.

Anyways, moving on to today's cards that I'd like to share with you. It seems that metallic watercolors are very in right now and I love the look. Though I don't have these fancy watercolors that everyone is raving about I do have some kids crayola metallic watercolors. So I did some experimenting and I like how it turned out.

Happy Fathers's Day!

Hello Everyone! I have not posted in awhile due to many reasons.

One I was super tired waiting for baby #2 to arrive. I was still being crafty and I've got stuff to share, blogging just didn't happen on top of creating.

Reason number two our iPad where I usually end up taking photos and blogging from decided to fail on us. So I've been trying to find the best way to blog again and get it done.

The third reason is on June 17th (The day before Father's Day) we welcomed our second baby boy into the world.  He arrived at 12:06 PM and weighted 8 pounds. His name is Liam and we are very in love with him. His big brother Riley is adjusting well and loves his baby brother.

This blog post is near and dear to my heart as this Fathers Day I was able to give my husband another son just in time for this special day! I also have two Father's Day cards to share with you that I got made before the new baby arrived.

Happy belated Father's Day to all the dads out there. I hope you had a great day!!!

Links for products used coming soon just wanted to get this up as soon as I could.

Hip Hip Hooray it's your birthday! ~ Viking Style

Happy Friday!  I am so excited to be finally be able to share these two cards here on the blog.  I recently made these for a friend's two kids. As you can see they turned 1 & 3.  Their dad is from Iceland and so since there kids were born I've be doing viking themed cards for them when I can or get inspired.

Last year I bought this super adorable Viking stamp set from Clearly Besotted for a few reasons. One it was incredibly cute, two I lived in Norway for 2 years, three I am from a Norwegian heritage and four I knew I could use it for my friends here and in Norway too!

This first card was for a little guy named Jethro who turned 1 years old.  I had fun creating this scene with my distress inks. I used stormy sky, moved grass and salty ocean distress inks.

The second card was for Jethro's sister Avalie who as you can see turned 3 years old!
I made a little skateboard for the viking girl as her dad is into skateboarding too and she has a mini skateboard herself. I thought it would be fun and cute to incorporate that into this scene.  I had a ton of fun creating this scene as well.  The distress inks I used were salty ocean, stormy sky and vintage photo.

Saying Thank you with flowers!

It's Wednesday and I have one more thank you card to share with you here on the blog today! I hope you like it.  I once again used a flower stamp set I picked up at Dollar Tree.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the flowers and used  my copic and spectrum noir markers to color in the stamped images.  To outline the die cut I used a "Sakura White Souffle Opaque Puffy Pen"  I also used  Simon Says Stamp "On edge thank you wafer die" from the you have my heart release for the sentiment.

Thank You "Dino"

Happy Monday! I hope this week goes well for you and that this card finds you well and gives you some inspiration for your week.  Here's to getting some crafty time in this week. 😉

I created this card with an old stamp set from My Favorite things that is no longer available and I'm not sure what the back embossing folder is ☹ I have so many embossing folders in my stash and I got them a long time ago.  The stamped image is colored with copic markers.  The background behind the embossed background is done by directly sponging two ink pads onto the paper. The ink pads I used were Memento Tuxedo black ink and My favorite Things "Field Day" ink. Also the sentiment is once again  Simon Says Stamp "On edge thank you wafer die" from the you have my heart release.
