Recycle with Me #12 Bottle Cap Flowers "Mother's Day"

Hello There! Happy Saturday! I've got 3 cards to share with you today. Mother's Day is tomorrow so I've got a last minute Mother's Day card idea for you.   You can find all the information below and don't forget to check out the video for a full visual over on my YouTube channel. Alright so for today's recycle with me project I used Bottle caps and a milk cap to make the middle of the flower 3D and stand out. The 3 cards I created were very simple.  I first started off with some water color paper and my Koi watercolors. I took the bottle caps and held them and drew flower petals around the cap to create a flower.    Then I used some Spellbinders Circle dies I had in my collection to cut some circles to fit into the inside of the bottle caps.  I had two circle dies that fit perfectly with the two sizes of bottle caps so I was very happy about that.  To cut the circles I got out my Sizzix SideKick (mini die cutting machine).  You could use any circle dies yo

Recycle with me #11 Empty Wink of Stella Brush Pen (Featuring Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers)

Hello there, it's been a little while since I posted. Not to long but it seems like a long time as it's been a long week around here. All my family has been battling colds and I'm still getting over it. Anyways, I've got a recycle with me card today for Mother's day.  I'll show you how I used an empty wink of stella clear brush pen as a water brush for water coloring.  I also used Simon Says Stamp's beautiful flowers stamp set. I started off by using the stamping platform to stamp the flowers on to some watercolor paper. To stamp it I used Simon Says Stamp clear embossing ink.  Then I used Simon Says Stamp white embossing powder over the ink.  At this point I used the Marvey heat tool to melt that embossing powder.  To color the image I grabbed the Koi watercolor set. As I was looking for my water brush on my desk I came across an empty wink of stella glitter brush that I had not thrown out yet.  So I started thinking what if I put water in this since mo

MFT Puddle Jumper- 2 ways to personalize your stamped image

Howdy!  I wanted to get this card up a little earlier at the end of April as a play on the "April showers bring May flowers. " Though that didn't work out but I'm sharing it just at the start of May to kick off the flower season. I used the stamp set "Puddle Jumper" from My Favorite Things". I loved this set as it reminds me of my boys so much.  I'll show you a few different ways to personalize your stamped image. I started off by stamping the little boy from the set in Memento Luxe Tuxedo black ink on some water color paper.  Then I used Ranger clear embossing powder and the Marvey heat tool. After that I was ready to start my water coloring with distress inks.  I used a sakura water brush to add the water to the distress inks. I sponged the ink directly onto the glass mat. I used the colors mustard seed, scattered straw, chipped sapphire, peeled paint, dried marigold, rusty hinge and frayed burlap. Next came the personalizing of each sta
