DIY planner bookmark

Hello I don't know about you but I've started thinking about the new year approaching.  I've been using a planner in some form or another since I was given my first one in school.  Though for 2016 I'm diving into the planner world and I'm excited. I'm going to decorate with washi tape, ebellishments and make my planner fun but also funtion for my needs in the coming year.

I've got to write things down to clear my head and just keep track of it all. So if you're like me in this and love planners then keep reading.

I decided to make a to do list bookmark with TSB image "Multi-task Girl".  I put it all together and laminated it.  To write on the tasks I used a high qauilty dry erase marker so it won't smear onto my nicely decorated planner pages or you could also put a matching size vellum or paper piece over it to help with this too

This same post is being feautured on The Stamping Boutique blog today. Head on over there to see lots of great ideas and how to use digital stamps in your projects.

I really love this image! I honestly feel like this most days.  I've got a 7 1/2 month old son and balancing all the other tasks in life too it sometimes feels like I'm juggling a lot.  I'm sure some of you out there are doing even more than me and juggling a lot. The Stamping Boutique New Release "Rockin Snowman"

The Stamping Boutique is on a roll when it comes to new images! This is just one of many new images coming your way today! Check out the blog post to see more new images and designs by the other talented design team members.

I love this image it rocks hehe!  It's called Rockin Snowman

For the background I used My Favorite Things Hybrid inks and just quickly took the ink pads and dabbed it on white card stock. i was able to get a fun splash effect by doing this.  The background colors also match the guitar on the image. For the sentiment I embossed it with clear embossing powder and did the same effect I did with the card base background.

The image is coloured with copic and spectrum noir markers.

To make this card extra fun I added a wobble to the sentiment to make it move.  I think this works perfectly to emphasis the snowman playing loud music and making everything shake.

So head on over to the challenge blog to see more new images!

New Glitterbabe images by Steph H from The Stamping Boutique

Happy Monday! Here are some cards to inspire you as you start your week. I hope you have some time to be crafty this week.

I've got some new GlitterBabe images to share with you from The Stamping Boutique

I'm loving this image! I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiment is stamped in My Favorite things hybrid ink Field Day.  It's actually  two stamps.  The rejoice is part of another stamp I just cut out the rejoice banner and popped it up on some foam tape.  The main Sentiment is Luke 2:11 and the stamp is by Cornish Heritage Farms.  I love the cream, yellow, and brown background and layers.

This is a great image too! I colored this image with my copic and Spectrum Noir markers.  To get the circle shape around the image I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circle Large Die. For the background I used the stamp Autumn Woods by Stampendous.  I used some brown ink to edge the circle and white stamped background before pairing it with the layers of orange and brown for the card base.

I colored this image with my copic markers. I used the chevron embossing folder from Momenta.  Then  put it all together on an orange card base. The sentiment is from Michael's  $1.50 stamps.

All Fall/Halloween
 and Christmas

Merry Christmas, JOY to you & Yours!

I've got another Christmas card to share with you here today. Wahoo!  I

I used "My Favorite Things" Pure Innocence stamp Christmas Banner. These stamps are just so cute!

I coloured the image with my copic markers.  I used my chevron embossing folder from Momenta for the background. I'm totally obsessed with chevrons right now.   The sentiment is a Michael's $1.50 stamp and I really like the crisp and clean look the sentiment adds to the card. I think it just finishes it off great! I used red for the card base and I think it goes so well with the kraft paper.

Again, I really love how this card turned out.

Merry Christmas Hammer & Santa Hat

I've got a very festive card to share with you. It's so difficult to find or sometimes come up with cards for all occasions for the men in your life.

So I came up with this Christmas themed card using "My Favorite thing" tool time die-namics.

I then hand cut out the santa hat and added a half pearl for the pom pom on top of the hat.  The Banner shape with the sentiment is also from My Favorite things it's their Fishtail Flags layers STAX. The dots in the background is done by the embossing folder Swiss Dots.

I'm really loving how this card turned out! It makes me very happy!

I hope your day rocks!

I've got another card to share with you! Wahoo! This one features the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence "Heart Strings" stamp with the matching sentiment I hope your day rocks.  I also used MFT's after midnight hybrid ink for the sentiment and inking the paper around the edges.

I'm loving this stamp! I also love how this card turned out and the guitar has got to be my favorite part.  I can't wait to use this girl on my more cards.

Merry Christmas

Christmas may be months away yet but as a crafter you start thinking Christmas early.  Let me tell you I've got so much Christmas stuff to make and I feel like I've barely started.  Though here is a Christmas card I made recently.

I used My Favourite Things Pure Innocence girl "Happy Christmas" I used copic markers to color her and snow embossing powder on the sentiment and ground to create the look of snow of her boots.  Some of the powder even got on her hat, coat, face and the tree making it look like snow falling all around. I love how this turned out.

The Stamping Boutique Banners Challenge

Happy Friday! I've got another card to share with you using a Stamping Boutique image.  This week's challenge is "Banners" over on the challenge blog.

I used TSB image: Nativity

This image is on SALE for $1.95 as all Christmas, Fall & Halloween images are 40 % off in September

I really love how this card turned out.  I colored the image with my copic markers and spectrum noir markers.  The sentiment is a stamp I have in my stash.  It's from the Thomas Kinkade Series by Cornish Heritage Farms (this stamp was given to me so I'm not really familiar with the company)  Anyways, it's the Bible verse Luke 2:11 "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." The banner the sentiment is stamped on is made by using My Favourite Things Fishtail Flags Layers STAX die-namics.  The sentiment is stamped & the sides of the banner and card front are inked with My Favourite Things after midnight hybrid ink.

So be sure to head over to the challenge blog to see more great cards from the design team. There you will find inspiration on using banners in your cards and get all the information on how you can get crafty with us too. We'd love to see your creations too!

Happy 2nd B-day Thomas the tank engine

Our friend's son just turned two and he loves Thomas the tank engine. So I just had to create a Thomas Birthday card for him. I couldn't be happier with how this card turned out. I found this perfect image of Thomas on the internet and printed it out and popped it up on some foam tape. I added some die cut balloons with twine. The blue background is some scraps of wrapping paper I had around from a recent baby shower. It reminded me of train tracks! I added the white thicker #2 on the train to represent the kid turning 2. As you can see I stamped the sentiment on the side "Happy, Happy Birthday" and inked up the sides of the card to match the wrapping paper and finish off the card.

The little guy loved the card, when he saw it he yelled Thomas and looked at it a bit! This made me very happy!

I'm entering this card into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge. This week's challenge is "Anything Goes"

Mother's Day & Father's Day 2015

These days have come and gone this year but I'm just now getting them up on the blog.  These are the Mother's and Father's day cards I made for this year.  I'm really happy with how they turned out.
