Recycle with me- Cardboard- Valentine's Day Editon

Hello happy Monday!  I am back with another two more cards is my "Recycle with me" series here and over on my YouTube channel.  Definitely check out the video over on YouTube. This is the 3rd video in the series over there.

These are two simple cards.  The recycled product I used today was cardboard. This particular cardboard came from a Bath and Body works box which I recently placed a small order from. I thought this would work great for a Valentine's Day recycle with me project because of the hearts and I loved the non traditional colors for the special day.

My card bases are cut down from Micheal's Recollections card stock. I used some more Micheal's  Recollections card stock and used it in a heart embossing folder that I got from Amazon. (I will link to it below) I ran this through my Big Shot Machine to create the embossed background.  Then I used Simon Says Stamp Caribbean Blue ink to create a boarder around the edges on the card base.  After that I stamped my sentiment in the same ink.  The sentiment that reads "Happy Valentine's Day" is from the Micheal's $1.50/$2.00 wood mounted stamps bins.  This particular stamp is from awhile back. Though you could use any Valentine's or love stamp you have in your collection.    At this point I was ready to adhere everything together. I used the Scotch Advanced Tape Glider to do so. I adhered the embossed background together and my recycled heart strips from the cardboard
box to the front of the card and a few to the inside of the card too.

For the second card I did most of the same steps. Though this time I used some blue plaid cardboard from the box and for the outside of the card I cut a heart out of the plaid cardboard and adhered that to the front.  For the inside I added just a bit more of the blue plaid cardboard and that finished off both cards.

I love the dimension the cardboard added without needed to add foam tape or extra layers.

Thank you so much for coming by and checking out this card today. If you didn't already I'd love if you would watch the video.  Also let me know in the comments below what you would like to see me recycle in a upcoming card or project.   I've got some ideas but I'd like to hear from you too.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
