April Get Kids Crafty Blog hop

I've got another Get Kids Crafty blog hop for you today. This month's theme is Manatee/ocean.  Check out Get Kids Crafty on Facebook at the Get Kids Crafty group . We used bubble wrap to create a bubbly ocean affect. What kid or adult for that matter doesn't like bubble wrap? So we used blue acrylic paint and painted it on to the bubble wrap. Then we turned it over and squished it and popped the bubbles in the bubble wrap. Let the fun begin! This is what it looked like after we removed the bubble wrap, pretty cool right?  Then Riley put foam ocean critter stuckers on the paper to finish off his ocean scene.   Here is the finished project.   Thank you for participating in our April Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are so excited that you're here and we hope that you find inspiration amongst our links! Not only that, be we'd LOVE to be inspired by you! Please feel free to use the hashtag # getkidscrafty on social media anytime you ...

I love you more than coffee

Hello hello! Here is a recent coffee themed card I made. I used Honey Bee Stamps "coffee break" stamp for the to go cups and the heart which were stamped in memento tuxedo black ink and then I used Simon Says Stamp clear embossing powder and heat set that with my marvey heat tool.  Then I colored in the to go cups using IG2 and the colorless blender. (Spectrum Noir markers) for the sleeve of the to go cup I used GB10 and the colorless blender. (Spectrum Noir markers) the heart on the sleeve I used R29 Lipstick Red (Copic marker)  For the sentiment I used Honey Bee Stamps "Perfect Blend" stamp set which was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then once again I used Simon Says Stamp clear embossing powder and heat set that with my marvey heat too.  For the edges I used ground espresso distress ink.  The coffee bean embossed background behind the to go cups is an old sizzix embossing folder. I can't find this product listed for sale, sorry! For the e...

Happy Pregnancy, it's a girl!

I made this card recently for a friend who is expecting a baby girl in June. I used a wood mounted stamp I had in my collection for the Happy Pregnancy sentiment and picture which is a Micheal's $1.50 stamp.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I used Simon Says Stamp clear embossing powder and used the Marvy heat tool to emboss that.   Then I colored in the image using B02 Robin's Egg Blue (Copic Marker) and used the Sakura Jelly Roll 08 White pen for the polka dots on the dress. I also used B02 Robin's Egg blue around the scallop oval shape which is a big punch from Marvy Uchida. I used an embossing folder from Sizzix for the layer under the Happy Pregnancy stamp which I can't find in stock anymore. (Sorry!) and for the background I used a swirls embossing folder which I also can't find in stock.  Then I used Spun Sugar Distress ink on the swirl embossed background. I used My Favorite Things Dotted Scallop Boarder Trio Die-namics. This set is re...
