#teamtinyunderthesea “Bubble Babies” sponsored by 7kids craft store

Hello there, I’ve got a fun mermaid card here and over on my YouTube channel I’ve got a process video to share too.  This card features the digital stamp set “Bubble Babies” by 7kids craft store.  Thank you so much to 7kids craft store for providing the stamp set for today’s card.

Just after I stopped blogging and focusing more on my YouTube channel I got a email from Katherine Kelly the founder of Team Tiny. This card is part of a YouTube hop with a bunch of other talented crafty you tubers.

Team Tiny is hashtag driven over on YouTube so if you click on the hashtag over on my video it will take you to more videos and inspiration with each months theme.  We do a hop once a month together.

The idea behind Team Tiny and Katherine’s vision is to help small craft channels grow and reach their monetization goals.  It’s also just a great community of creators where we can support each other and bounce ideas off of each other. I have definitely loved being a part of this team. I’ve been so inspired along the way.

For the card I sized the digital images in a word document and then printed them on some card stock.  Before I got to the coloring of my images I went ahead and created my background for the mermaid.  I used three distress oxides to blend the water for the scene. I used broken china, salty ocean and cracked pistachio.  I blended them with a make up brush.  To add some interest to the blending and make the water look more realistic I sprayed water with a mister and used a paint brush to splatter water into the distress oxide ink.  When I was happy with the background I used my heat tool to dry the background a little bit and set it aside to dry some more.

To color in the images I used a combination of spectrum noir and copic markers.  The colors I used will be on the pen cap on my process video and also listed down below here and in the description box over on YouTube.

Once all the coloring was done I went ahead and fussy cut all the images out. At that point I was ready to adhere the images to the card. I used some foam tape to pop of the images and also the sentiment on the card.

After the images were adhered to the card that finished up the card.

Before I go I’ll give you a little more information about 7kids craft store.  They are a craft store that sells their own exclusive digital stamp sets like the one featured today and also supplies from other companies.  Some of the companies sold at their store are hello bluebird, lawn Fawn, Catherine Pooler Designs and so much more. Definitely check them out.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
