Christmas in July Video Hop

Hello I've got one more Christmas in July card for you.   This is for another Christmas in July video hop over on YouTube. I started off by stamping the fireplace from the Cosy Christmas stamp set from Clearly besotted.  I stamped it in memento tuxedo black ink on the card base. Then I also stamped the fireplace on some Inkadinkadoo masking paper.  I also cut a half circle out of the masking paper for the carpet in the scene. After placing the masks down I was ready to use distress oxide inks to blend my background. I used vintage photo, broken china and cracked pistachio distress inks. I used the Dollarama makeup brush to do the blending.  Then it was time to take off the masks. Then I colored the fireplace and added some details to the carpet with spectrum noir markers. Next I stamped the penguins from the Lawn Fawn Here we go a waddling in memento tuxedo black ink.  I also colored  these in spectrum noir markers.   The colors I used were BG8, BG6, BG4, CR10, CR11, CT4,

Craft Collabs Christmas in July Video Hop

Hello there I've got another Christmas card to share with you for my Christmas in July series.  This one is a collab with a bunch of other creative people from craft collab.  So definitely check out my video for some Christmas inspiration and hop along on the other videos for even more Christmas inspiration. For my card today I used the stamp set by Newton's Nook called Sun soaked Christmas.  I love this stamp set, it's so fun Santa hanging out at the beach. This is perfect for Christmas in July. I started of my creating my background using distress oxide inks and the Dollarama make up brush to blend it. I used fossilized amber and vintage photo for the sand and broken china distress oxide ink for the water. Then I stamped the images from the Newton's Nook stamp set  in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with spectrum noir markers.  I used the colors DR5, EB2, CT4, BT7, JG6, IG6, CR10, TN7, LV2, IG10, CG1, IG4, JG6, EB8 and the colorless blender.  I stamp

Christmas in July Recycle with me #15 Christmas packaging

Hello there, I've got a another card in my Christmas in July mini series over on my YouTube channel today.   It's also part of my Recycle with me series over on YouTube. For Today's cards, I made three of them over on the video.  I used a Rae Dunn Christmas mug set box.  I really liked the designs on it and it reminded me of stamp designs that you would stamp on your projects.  I also loved the red on the kraft color.  Stamping on craft card stock can look so good. I feel like this recycled piece already accomplished that look with one less step. I cut apart the box and cut out the red designs.  Then I was ready to make the cards.  I used the Advanced Tape Glider to adhere various pieces from the packaging to the card base.  Then used nuvo drops in different spots to create some very simple cards. I used autumn red, might night blue and English mustard nuvo drops. to   To watch the Video directly on YouTube <------CLICK HERE Aff

Christmas in July Recycle with me #14 Candy Cane Green Tea

Hello there, today I start my Christmas in July series over on my YouTube channel. There will be 4 videos in total in this series. Today’s card is a super simple one. My friend Diane send me this Trader Joes candy cane green tea packaging.  I know I needed to turn it into a card.   I simply cut down a cardbase. Cut a few lines off the green packaging and trimmed down the cardboard where the image with the polar bear was.  Then I grabbed out the scotch advanced tape glider to adhere the two stripes and the bigger picture onto the cardbase leaving room between. Then to finish off the card I used Autumn red crystal nuvo drops to add a raised effect to the card. This also allowed me to bring the red from the packaging out a bit more.   You could definitely add a Christmas sentiment to the front or inside of this card but I personally wanted this Recycled piece to shine.
