Recycle with me #10- Bubble wrap backgrounds with Distress oxides & Paint

Hey there, I've got something different for you today in my Recycle with me series over on my YouTube channel.  Definitely check it out! This is the 10th video in my recycle with me series over on my YouTube channel. Wahooo! I used bubble wrap from a mailer that came in the mail to create some backgrounds for cards.  For the first bubble wrap backgrounds I used fired brick and broken china distress oxide inks. I applied them to the card stock sprayed with water and put the bubble wrap over and pushed the bubble wrap down onto the paper.   For the next backgrounds, I decided to use some acrylic paint.  I applied it with a sponge brush to the bubble wrap and then put it onto the paper and pushed down and sometimes even popping the bubbles in the bubble wrap. I just kept reapplying paint to the bubble wrap and I even wiped the paint off the bubble wrap at one point to add some different colors.  I couldn't stop making this fun backgrounds. For a look at the

Lawn Fawn Easter

Hello there, I hope you had a great Easter weekend. I've got one more Easter card to share with you today. It's a fun one, how would dinosaurs celebrate Easter? If you want to find out stay tuned and check out the video over on my YouTube channel for a play by play of this special dinosaur celebration. To create this fun Easter themed card I used two sets from Lawn Fawn I used the newest Dino set from Lawn Fawn "Rawrsome" and the older Dino set called "Critters from the past". I think these sets work great together. So I first started by picking the stamps out that I wanted to use and put them into my stamping platform.  Then I grabbed some Mont Marte Watercolor paper that I found at a local store.  Then I used the stamping platform and memento tuxedo black ink and stamped all the dinosaurs and extras. Then I was ready to start water coloring all the dinos and other pieces.  I used a Sakura Koi watercolor brush and distress ink mins to watercolor my

Recycle with me #9- Easter Product Tag

Hello there, today I've got one card to share with you in my recycle with me series over on my YouTube channel.  This card's theme is Easter since this weekend is of course Easter.  I recently got some new kitchen towels that were Easter themed and there was a cute tag on it. So I wanted it to use it on a Easter project. I cut down a card base from Micheal's Recollections card stock and then I was ready to create my background.  I blended together broken china, cracked pistachio and fossilized amber distress oxide inks.  I used the Dollarama make up brush to blend them and add the ink to the card stock background. At this point I used the advanced tape glider to adhere the recycled tag to the card. I found that foam tape would of been better to adhere this thicker material on the tag. Also it was a very shiny, slick material so the advanced tape glider adhesive had a hard time keeping it stuck down to the paper. For the sentiment I stamped it in Memento Luxe Tuxedo

Recycle with me #8 Tim Hortan's Tim Bit box

Hello Hello, I've got three new cards for you in my my recycle with me series over on my YouTube channel.  For Today's cards I used the little dancing Tim Bits from the Tim Hortan's Tim Bit box.  I think they are called doughnut holes in the USA. You could definitely do this with just a doughnut box too and make a card with the bigger donuts from the box. Alrighty, so to start I cut out all the Tim Bits from the box so I had these fun little guys to create with. Then I was ready to start making cards. For the first card I used Fossilized Amber distress oxide ink with the Dollarama make up brush to add a banner and a little bit of color.  This allowed me to add my sentiment over the colored area. Then to stamp the sentiment in Black Soot distress oxide ink. The sentiment is from a Happy Birthday stamp set I picked up at Dollar Tree I believe quite some time ago. ( You could use any Happy Birthday set you have) To adhere the Tim Bits I used the Xyron Sticker Maker.  Las

Recycle with me #7 Baby wipes package

Hello there, Happy Weekend!  I've got four cards to share with you today. They are featured in my recycle with me series over on my YouTube channel. So be sure to go over there and check out the video.  For today's recycle with me project I used images from baby wipes packages. I had two different wipes packages. I started by cutting the images off the package. Then I was ready to start creating my cards.  I cut down my card base from Micheal's Recollections card stock and then got creating. For the first card I started by using Wilted Violet distress oxide ink and the Dollarama make up brush to lightly add some color to the card base. I had also grabbed a stripe of purple card stock from my scraps bin and put it through the big shot machine to add a bit of embossing.   Then I adhered the stripe to the card base using the Scotch Advanced Tape Glider.  I tried adhering the image from the wipes container with the Advanced tape glider. Though it didn't work well as t

MFT little buddies/ April fool’s making a card backwards??

Hello there and Happy April fool’s day!!! I’ve got a fun birthday card for you today and to have some fun on this April fool’s day you need to go watch the video over on my YouTube channel to see card making in reverse. For Today's card I used My Favorite Things Little buddies stamp set. For the sentiment I used Simon Says Stamp it's no secret stamp set. I used the big Happy Birthday stamp from the set to create a Birthday card for my oldest Riley who turns 4 on April 1st, yes he was born on April fool's day. For the coloring I stamped the image from MFT's little buddies stamp set. I used memento Tuxedo black ink for that. Then I colored the image in with spectrum noir markers. I used EB2, BG6, TB3 and BT7.  This stamp set totally reminds me of Riley, he has a kitty stuffed animal that he really likes and so this little image made me think of him when I saw it. Then I did my background for the card directly on the card base. I used broken china distress oxid
