Recycle with me- Bath & Body works bag

Hello there and Happy New Year!!! I’ve been taking a break after my Christmas card series over on YouTube and getting things back to normal around my home after Christmas.  Also been organizing my craft room too and of course brainstorming new ideas for cards and videos over on my YouTube channel.

Today I’m officially starting a new series over on YouTube channel called “Recycle with me” where I take Recycled materials and pair it up with stamps and other normal crafting supplies.  I will also be doing non recycling projects too on my channel so stay tuned for all that is to come this year.

Today’s card and video is a super simple one. I recently went to bath and body works and got a few things and I thought the images on the bag were so cute and I wanted to do a project with them. They could of been used for a Christmas card but since it was after Christmas I went with just a winter theme instead.

For these cards I just cut apart the bag and decided what parts I wanted to use on the cards. I cut down some white cardstock from Micheal's Recollections. Also the blue cardstock is also from the Micheal's Recollections collection too. I used a snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder with the blue paper and ran that through the big shot machine. ( I will link to a similar embossing folder below)  Then I was ready to adhere everything together with the Scotch Advanced tape Glider.   For the sentiment I used 2 stamps I had in my collection. A "winter" stamp from a Beth Duff Designs stamp set. (Which is no longer available) and a hello wood mounted block I had in my collection which was from the Michael's $1.50 stamps.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped it on vellum and quickly used some silver embossing powder and heat set that with the Marvey heat tool.   Before stamping I prepared the vellum with the anti static pouch so that the embossing powder only stuck to where I wanted it.

Then I adhered the vellum sentiment to the card. I used the Scotch advanced tape glider again.

I made 2 cards, but I'm sure you could make more cards with all the different parts on this bag.

My goal behind this video series is to think outside the box and to use what we have around us.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
