The Stamping Boutique "Anything but a card" Challenge

Hello All, I am very excited to share with you this next project and challenge from the Stamping Boutique.  I've had this idea for awhile ever since the image "Elephant with Umbrella" was released a few months back.  When looking over the assignments and trying to decide for this week's challenge I knew this was it I could do a baby canvas project.  This is the first project I've been able to make for my upcoming baby other than I few scrapbook pages with ultrasound photos and such. I'm not only excited to share this with you all but also to be able to decorate the nursery with this cute baby canvas!

So without further explanation here is a picture of the project,

For the background I used some blue metallic paint that has a green tint to it. It seems the colour changes depending on the light hitting it.   I printed the image "Elephant with Umbrella" and printed it out pretty big to fit nicely on the canvas.  Then the image itself is coloured with my Spectrum Noir markers. The letters spelling "BABY" I got forever ago at Michael's for $1 I believe and I was finally able to use them and they worked perfectly for this project.

Take a look at the blog for this week's challenge and find more inspiration from the other members of the design team.  This is a great project to participate in and get crafty in new ways if you're usually just  a card maker.  I know I enjoyed created something that wasn't a card and I'm very happy with how this turned out.   All the information you need is over on the blog.

Get Kids Crafty May Blog Hop Gardening theme

It's that time of month again where I share a fun crafty project that I made with my kiddo Riley for Get Kids Crafty. Hello and thank you for joining us for the May Get Kids Crafty! blog hop! We are thrilled to have you! Our theme this month is gardening and our kids have created some AMAZING projects to share with you! We had a lot of fun creating our project this month. We made a bumble bee mobile.  Both my kids love the song bringing home my baby bumble bee. Especially my youngest Liam, it seems to usually calm him down when he's upset.  So we created this fun project to the theme of the song.      First we had to die cut our bees, Here is Riley playing with an already cut bee in the Big Shot machine.      Here is Riley turning the handle on the Big Shot machine to cut out all our bees. We had to do 16 in total one for the front and back as you will see in a little bit. Here is what the finished bee looks like and the die cut that we used from
