Get kids crafty! January Blog hop

Hello there! Today on the blog I've got another get kids crafty blog hop as its time for the January blog hop.

This months theme is Valentines Day in anticipation of getting craft projects done for February 14th. Have you thought of your Valentine's Day projects with your kids yet?  If you answered yes keep reading and be inspired and see how you can get involved. If you answered no, starting thinking and keep reading for inspiration and info on how to get involved.

I am pleased to inform you that this month there are two prizes as well.  There are two prizes up for grabs. Create a project with your child and share it on the Get Kids Crafty facebook page and use hashtag #getkidscrafty or share your project on Instagram and use hashtag #getkidscrafty.

 prize #1

Prize #2
Custom name crayons, pick up to 7 letters if you're the winner.

Winners will be announced on next month's blog hop. So stay tuned!

Giveaway is International!

We  started off by using Lawn Fawn's road boarder die and cutting a bunch of roads using Micheals Recollections Black card stock.

As you can see Riley helped me run the die through the machine. He loves using the big shot and turning the handle. He kept saying lets make some roads.

Then we took some yellow scrap paper and glued it on the back of the road to create the yellow lines and then I trimmed it down.

I cut down some blue card stock to create the card base and then adhered the roads to the cardstock for Riley to do the next step.

Then I gave Riley some foam stickers that were buses, cars, trucks, tractors, tow trucks and airplanes. These are some of his favorite things so this was a big hit! So he added them to the roads.

Then I created a super cute sentiment on word on the computer.  "Have a wheel great Valentine's Day!" And used some scrap paper to create a heart/banner for the different sentiment looks and adhered them to the card.

Finally here is the finished product.  Hope you feel inspired by our project. Also hop on over to all the other blogs for more great projects.

How absolutely perfect that he was so excited about making these! My nephew was vehicle obsessed also. He would jump up and down excited at the window, “gahbij twuck” “ice keama twuck”. The vehicle more exciting than what it carried. Love your son’s sweet cards. Brilliant idea!
