Happy Friday! I am so excited to be finally be able to share these two cards here on the blog. I recently made these for a friend's two kids. As you can see they turned 1 & 3. Their dad is from Iceland and so since there kids were born I've be doing viking themed cards for them when I can or get inspired.
Last year I bought this super adorable Viking stamp set from Clearly Besotted for a few reasons. One it was incredibly cute, two I lived in Norway for 2 years, three I am from a Norwegian heritage and four I knew I could use it for my friends here and in Norway too!
This first card was for a little guy named Jethro who turned 1 years old. I had fun creating this scene with my distress inks. I used stormy sky, moved grass and salty ocean distress inks.
The second card was for Jethro's sister Avalie who as you can see turned 3 years old!
I made a little skateboard for the viking girl as her dad is into skateboarding too and she has a mini skateboard herself. I thought it would be fun and cute to incorporate that into this scene. I had a ton of fun creating this scene as well. The distress inks I used were salty ocean, stormy sky and vintage photo.
