Hello, It's Tuesday and today marks the day of back to school for the kiddos here in Canada at least. I've got one last summer themed card until we dive into all things Autumn and cozy!
So slider cards are really popular these days. They have been around for awhile but the companies "My Favorite Things" and "Lawn Fawn" have made it a lot easier with slider dies to create fun interactive cards. I didn't use there products to create this fun slider card but I cut the slider hole myself with an exacto knife. I will link down below to the products you can get to create sliders. I'd eventually like to get my hands on these dies myself as it would make these cards a lot faster.
Anyways, I used My Favorite Things "Penguins in Paradise" stamp set and colored the images with copic and spectrum noir markers. I added a bit of detail to the penguins blue shorts and there belly's with a white pen. I created the sand with a spectrum noir marker and the blue background is created using My Favorite Things "Blu Raspberry" Hybrid Ink. The penguins and palm trees were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
The card has form tape below the image and background to prop up the front piece to allow for the slider to slide well. Below the track is a penny attached to form tape and then the beach ball is placed on top of the foam tape too and this allows the penguins to play ball. I think this card is the coolest, hehe!
