Hip hip hooray it's your birthday! Have a Norse day!

Hi there, thanks for stopping by today.  Today I've got a fun Birthday card to share with you. I made this recently for a friend in Norway.  The viking is from the My Favorite Things  Viking stamp set. I stamped the viking in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Then I colored it with Spectrum Noir Markers.  I used  CR10, CR11, CT4, BT2, BT4, BT9, TN7, BG8, IG6, IG8, TN2 and JG6. The sentiment is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The Hip hip hooray it's your birthday sentiment is from Clearly Besotted stamp set called "Hip Hop Hooray" and the Have a Norse day sentiment is from the My Favorite Things viking stamp set.  For the background I used my Big shot machine and the Retro Circles embossing folder by Tim Holtz Alterations. (Not sure if the Tim Holtz embossing folder is still available, I have linked to a similar one by Kaisercraft)  I dabbed Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the edges of the embossed background to make it pop. To adhere everything I used the scot

Brave, Strong Dad (Beth Duff Designs)

Here we go again with another week, Happy Monday!  I've got a lot to share this coming week. Today I have a super cute card I recently made for a friend who welcomed his second child.  I feel like the when an event like this happens everyone needs a little bit of encouragement. For this card I used the solider image from Beth Duff Designs Called "land that I love" it was a free digital stamp with purchase. (not sure if it's still available but I wanted to share this card with you anyways) I chose this image because my friend Tim who I made this for is always wearing camo and the sentiment was perfect to encourage him as a dad. He's a brave guy and very strong and I know he loves his family a lot.   The word dad was from was from the digital stamp set Bearded Dads which was a freebie around Father's Day time. After printing the solider out on the printer I got to work coloring him.  I used The camo background was some scrapbook paper I had in my collec

Hello there,  I know that Father’s Day has come and gone. Though I still wanted to share this Father’s Day card with you all here.  We can definitely honor the special men in our life all year round. This could also make a great birthday card if you switched the sentiments. For the background I used the Swiss dots Cuttlebug Provo craft embossing folder and ran it through my big shot machine.  I have listed a similar one by Sizzix Tim Holtz in the supplies at the end of my blog. To color in the hat and ties I used my Spectrum Noir markers. I used the colors BT7, EB1 and TN7. These images and sentiments were from a freebie digital set from Beth Duff Designs.   To finish off the card I added memento tuxedo black ink to the edges to make it pop.  Then adhered it all together using my scotch advanced tape glider and the X Xryon sticker maker.
