DIY planner bookmark

Hello I don't know about you but I've started thinking about the new year approaching.  I've been using a planner in some form or another since I was given my first one in school.  Though for 2016 I'm diving into the planner world and I'm excited. I'm going to decorate with washi tape, ebellishments and make my planner fun but also funtion for my needs in the coming year.  I've got to write things down to clear my head and just keep track of it all. So if you're like me in this and love planners then keep reading.  I decided to make a to do list bookmark with TSB image " Multi-task Girl ".  I put it all together and laminated it.  To write on the tasks I used a high qauilty dry erase marker so it won't smear onto my nicely decorated planner pages or you could also put a matching size vellum or paper piece over it to help with this too This same post is being feautured on The Stamping Boutique blog today. Head on over there to...

Check out the blog post to see more new images and designs by the other talented design team members.  I love this image it rocks hehe!  It's called Rockin Snowman For the background I used My Favorite Things Hybrid inks and just quickly took the ink pads and dabbed it on white card stock. i was able to get a fun splash effect by doing this.  The background colors also match the guitar on the image. For the sentiment I embossed it with clear embossing powder and did the same effect I did with the card base background.  The image is coloured with copic and spectrum noir markers.  To make this card extra fun I added a wobble to the sentiment to make it move.  I think this works perfectly to emphasis the snowman playing loud music and making everything shake.  So head on over to the challenge blog ...

Merry Christmas Hammer & Santa Hat

I've got a very festive card to share with you. It's so difficult to find or sometimes come up with cards for all occasions for the men in your life.   So I came up with this Christmas themed card using "My Favorite thing" tool time die-namics.   I then hand cut out the santa hat and added a half pearl for the pom pom on top of the hat.  The Banner shape with the sentiment is also from My Favorite things it's their Fishtail Flags layers STAX. The dots in the background is done by the embossing folder Swiss Dots.  I'm really loving how this card turned out! It makes me very happy!

I hope your day rocks!

Happy 2nd B-day Thomas the tank engine

Our friend's son just turned two and he loves Thomas the tank engine. So I just had to create a Thomas Birthday card for him. I couldn't be happier with how this card turned out. I found this perfect image of Thomas on the internet and printed it out and popped it up on some foam tape. I added some die cut balloons with twine. The blue background is some scraps of wrapping paper I had around from a recent baby shower. It reminded me of train tracks! I added the white thicker #2 on the train to represent the kid turning 2. As you can see I stamped the sentiment on the side "Happy, Happy Birthday" and inked up the sides of the card to match the wrapping paper and finish off the card.  The little guy loved the card, when he saw it he yelled Thomas and looked at it a bit! This made me very happy! I'm entering this card into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge. This week's challenge is "Anything Goes"
