The Stamping Boutique Recipe card: Use a square, a circle and 2 patterned papers challenge

Hello there it's that time again on a friday where I share with you a challenge for the Stamping Boutique Design team.   This week's theme is to make a card or project using the ingredients of a square, a circle and 2 patterned papers.  This week I switched things up and actually made a project life page to showcase these ingredients. I'm new to project life but so far I'm loving it. I'm not doing it the traditional weekly/daily way but more so as a small event scrapbook.  Maybe in the future I'll do it more weekly but I like how I'm using it now.  So for this layout I did a page about cake pops since I like to make them and I'd taken a few pictures that I didn't just want to sit on my phone or computer. The  Stamping Boutique Digital image I used was  Recipe card with Space on Left . The project life cards/patterned paper featured in this layout is from the Dear Lizzy Editon by Beck Higgins. Then the cake pop patterned paper is a free pr...

Simon Says "Let's Be Clear"

I've got one more card to share with you tonight.  Next week's Wednesday Simon Say Stamp Challenge is Let's Be Clear . So you're suppose to use any clear element on your card s o acetate, vellum, glossy accents, translucent embossing paste, clear plastic, etc.  As you can see I used velum. I experimented with this card, I've never tried a technique like this before. It's a flat card it doesn't stand up on it's own.  I used MFT's Graduation Die-namics and used a small amount of glue tape on the velum and folded it over the edge to create the fold so it's still like a card, where you can write your message. I did the same with the bottom peice. And to finish it off I added some half pearls. I'm really happy with how this card turned out. I also love when the ideas in your head actually work out and become a reality. Wahoo for experiments that work!!!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #184

Hey there, I've got a new card to share with you.  I created it for this week's MFT " My Favourite things " Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge.  This week it's sketch # 184 Here is the sketch:  My card: I switched up the angles a bit from the sketch but I like how it turned out and it's still pretty close to the original sketch.  I used the Sizzix Letter Envelope embossing folder from the Mail set.  I really love this set of embossing folders and it works perfectly here.  The image is MFT's own Pure Innocence "Happy Mail" stamp.
