MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Card Sketch 173

Hello there, I'm loving playing along with the MFT "My Favourite Things" Wednesday Sketch . So here is this week's card. I hope you like it! The Sketch: My card: Alright, so since Mother's Day is coming up soon I thought I would make a few Mother's Day cards. I've still got a few to make this is only one.  The main image is a 1996 Penny Black stamp called "A gift of flowers". I used my copic markers to colour the image.  The "Happy Mother's Day" stamp is from Hero Arts.  I really like this stamp, I think I'll ink her up again for a few more cards soon.  Other challenges I'm entering this week are:  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Keep it clean and simple"

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Card Sketch 172

Hello there, I'm once again participating in "My Favourite Things" Wednesday Stamp Club sketch.  I'm happy with the design and I love the colours too.  The sketch: My card: For this card I used the MFT Pure Innocence stamp "Birthday Princess" and of course I used my copic markers to colour the image.  All the paper is from Michael's except for the turquoise and black.  The turquoise paper is from papermill.com and the black is from American crafts "AC Cardstock". The half pearls are from Forever in Time paper craft collection.

Happy Birthday Minion!

Hello again, I am excited to share with you this cool minion Happy Birthday card that I recently made for my husbands birthday this past week. We really liked watching the movie Despicable Me 2 this year together and so I wanted to create a fun minion card for him.  I found a pattern online and this is what I came up with.  He is has a 3D goggle too. There is also some sequins in the goggle which shakes. I can just see a minion getting some birthday party confetti stuck in their goggle.  Not really sure if minions are animals but they are pretty darn close so I'm going to add it into this week's Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge and this week it's "Animal Antics"  Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge (Animal Antics)

Let's play some baseball, Happy Birthday!

Hello there! I've got a very cute card to share with you today.  I've had Stampendous stamp for so long but never really used it.  It's called Changito play ball.  I guess I was never really knew what to do with it.  But this week at Simon Says Stamp there challenge was to create a card using Animals and they are also featuring Stampendous products so I thought I'd pull this stamp out and finally use it.   I used tuxedo black Memento ink to stamp the monkey image and also the Happy Birthday to you sentiment. I really love how this card turned out and I love that this card could be used for a little boy. I coloured the image and the sentiment with my copic markers.  I then stamped the black ink lightly over the sentiment banner to add a more rustic muddy look to this card.  The embossed background is the Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder.  Challenges this card is entered in: Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge (Animal An...

Thank you berry much!

Here there I've got another house mouse card to show you tonight. This one is called "Razzle Dazzle" and it features the cute mouse called Amanada. It's a Stampabilities Stamp.  The embossing in the background is the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and the flower is the Spellbinders Shapabilities Sprial Blossom Four.  The sentiment is from Stamping up's Fruity Phrases 2001 set.  Challenges I am entering this card into this week are:  House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge HMFMC167 ( Flowers and Flourishes) Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge (Animal Antics)

Let's Hop to it!

Hello Everyone, It's Easter weekend and I've got a card to show you.  Even though Easter's about so much more than eggs and bunny's this card captures one of those traditions of Easter.  Happy Easter!!! I used the House Mouse "Carrott Harvest" ( That's what it says on the stamp, I'm thinking it should be carrot but hey they are being original) It's from Stampa Rosa 1998 House Mouse Stamps.  I then used the Let's Hop to it stamp from the $1.50 stamp from Michael's.  The flower is the smallest in the Sizzix Flower, Daisies die.   Challenges I am entering this card into this week are:  House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge HMFMC167 ( Flowers and Flourishes) Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge (Animal Antics)

MFT Wednesday stamp club sketch 171

Hello all here is my card for this weeks MFT (My favorite things) Wednesday card sketch. I flipped the design but I really like how it turned out. The sketch: My card:

Easter Cross

Here is another Easter card I created.  The cross is a metal embossing plate I have. I have no idea who makes it.  I used my copic markers to colour in the cross. The Easter banner is a $1.50 stamp from Michael's. I really love that stamp, the banner is so cool!  I outlined the banner with a copic marker and put some half white pearls on the ends to finish it off.  Here is a close up of the colouring on the cross.  Happy Easter to all!  I'm paticipating in Simon Says Wednesday Stamp Challenge " Happy Easter or sweet treats" this week

Fiona & Friends Easter Girl

Hello there, I am very excited to share these 3 cards with you! Firstly because Easter is just days away and these are some of the Easter cards I've been working on. I'm also excited to share these cards here on the blog because this is the 2nd image in my very own digital stamps.  I'm going to reveal the stamp line's name in this blog post too. It's called "Fiona and Friends"   This girl is Fiona and here as you can see she's all ready for Easter dressed up like a bunny and she's got her easter basket all filled with eggs and she's searching for more.  I especially love the sentiment on  these cards. "Faith is putting all your eggs in God's basket, then counting your blessings before they hatch." I think it's such a neat quote adding the God into the tradition of easter eggs.   I did three different colour styles of these card for different people.  Of course I used my copic markers. For her hair to get a lighte...

Simon says Happy Birthday #4

Here is the last card I made for this week's Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday Wednesday Challenge.   It's the same look as my previous post but with a twist.  I coloured the cupcake in different colours and put the same sentiment on the top of the card instead. Though I'm really liking this simple look. The cupcakes really just pop off the page.  Too bad we can't eat them!

Simon says Happy Birthday #3

Here is another card for this week's Simon Says Stamps Happy Birthday Wednesday Card Challenge.  Loving this card and how it turned out! I used these three cupcake stamps which are INKADINKA clings.  I then coloured them with my copic markers and experimented with blending the colours. I had a lot of fun making this card. The Happy Birthday to you sentiment is from Michael's $1.50 stamps.

Simon says "Happy Birthday" #2

This week Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday card challenge is to create a  Happy Birthday card. I've got a few new cards to enter for this week but here is one.   I used the "Gifts to Tie" House Mouse stamp and of course coloured it in my my copic markers.  I then used my Inkadinkado "Happy Birthday" sentiment and embossed it with my Stampendous Sapphire embossing powder. All the paper is from Michael's except for the turquoise which is actually left over paper from my wedding invitations which I ordered at the PaperMill Store online. Here is the link to that store if you're interested,  http://www.thepapermillstore.com .  The ribbon is some I also had left over from making wedding stuff.  The embossed background is the dots Cuttlebug folder from provo craft that I just ran through my big shot machine.  I really really love how this card turned out. It's so fun and bright!

Good Luck Banner!

This post is a little late since St. Patrick's Day has come and gone.  Though I still wanted to get this home decor project up on the blog. Also we can always use a little bit of luck!  We had the young adults at our church over for a potluck style dinner on St. Patrick's Day and so I decided to decorate the house a little bit to add to the theme.  Here is the banner before it was all cut out and assembled. I used Inkadinkado Mason Jar stamp, my Micheal's Kolette Hall "good luck" stamp and my Fiskars four leaf clover punch.  I only embossed the mason jar with embossing powder to make it shine a bit.  I then coloured the good luck sentiment with my copic markers.  Then I found some big green ribbon with some gold accents in my collection. I had just enough for it to go across my mantle at home.  It worked perfectly with the green and yellow in my coloured mason jars.  (Velkommen- means Welcome in Norwegian, I brought this back with...

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch 170

Hello there I'm once again playing along with "My Favourite Things" Wednesday sketch. At first when I looked at this week's sketch I was really stumped at what to do. But as I thought some more I came up with this card that you will see below. I'm loving how it turned out too!  The sketch: My card: I love this inked up image coloured with my copic markers.  This image just pops off the page, it's from Ladybugandfriends.com. Not really sure anything else about this image, the site doesn't seem to up anymore. When searching on google a few things popped up though I couldn't find much information on it. I picked this stamp up in Norway at a local scrapbooking store when I was living there.  The flags are from my Spellbinders Shapabilities "Charmed, I'm sure" set and for the stamped Happy Birthday I used the sentiment from the MFT Pure Innocence "Birthday Princess" set. I just inked up the two words separ...

You are loved

I've got another card to share with you today.  I need to actually post a bunch of cards.  This card features two $1.50 stamps from Michael's.  This is my first attempt at paper piecing, with the bear when you stamp it using black ink it just comes out black and I didn't all of the heart to be black. So I stamped the bear once and then again. The second time I embossed the heart with Recollections Opaque embossing powder and then cut out the heart and glued into place on the first image I had stamped. I then coloured the rest of the bear with my copic markers.  For the "You are loved" sentiment I also embossed that in the same embossing powder as the heart.
