The Stamping Boutique "Spring Oriented (flowers, pastels, etc.)" Challenge

It's that time again to share with you a new challenge from The Stamping Boutique .  This week's challenge is Spring Oriented (flowers, pastels, etc.) I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas time spend with your family and friends.  Now it's time to get back to being crafty and maybe even break out those new Christmas crafting goodies that were under the tree this year. I used The Stamping Boutique image "Turtle" For this card I chose to use the blue and green pastels of spring time.  I also went with the classic spring time sentiment to capture the essence of a spring oriented theme.  I also think that this turtle image from the stamping boutique is super cute and I just needed to pull him out again to use on a card. So spring on over to The Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog and get all the details on how you can participate in this week's challenge. Also see other great cards and projects by the rest of the design team and be inspired to c...

The Stamping Boutique "Anything but a card" Challenge

Hello All, I am very excited to share with you this next project and challenge from the Stamping Boutique.  I've had this idea for awhile ever since the image "Elephant with Umbrella" was released a few months back.  When looking over the assignments and trying to decide for this week's challenge I knew this was it I could do a baby canvas project.  This is the first project I've been able to make for my upcoming baby other than I few scrapbook pages with ultrasound photos and such. I'm not only excited to share this with you all but also to be able to decorate the nursery with this cute baby canvas! So without further explanation here is a picture of the project, For the background I used some blue metallic paint that has a green tint to it. It seems the colour changes depending on the light hitting it.   I printed the image "Elephant with Umbrella" and printed it out pretty big to fit nicely on the canvas.  Then the image itself is col...

Howdy  it's Friday again and that means another card and challenge to share with you from The Stamping Boutique .   This week's challenge over at the blog is "Sparkle" . I hope you enjoy this card as  much as I do and don't forget to hop on over to the blog for more great designs and inspiration from the other members of the design team. I used the image Trenton So of course I needed to add tons of sparkle to this card.  I used metallic blue paint with Memory Box "Texture Wave" stencil and I think it looks turned out great. The metallic paint just makes it really sparkle and stand out.  Then I added some silver stickles to the balloon and dots around the image.  So again hop on over to the blog post and get all the info there.

Merry Christmas!!!

Howdy! Here is a card I recently made using the My Favourite Things Pure Innocence Happy Christmas stamp.   The embossed background is from the Tim Holtz collection called Knit set.  The Merry Christmas stamp is from the 1.50 bin at Michael's.  I really love how this card all came together. The colours work great together. I'd have to say one of my favourite parts on this card would have to be the polka dots on the girls leggings. They were created by using the copic colourless blender. I've only made a few Christmas cards this year so far. I've got one more to post that I made.  I've usually already made lots more by this time since now it's November and Christmas will be upon us soon enough. I usually get a head start on Christmas cards and start early but this year was different haven't had the energy to craft as much as I'd like too.  Anyways now that I've got some more energy stay tuned for some more Christmas cards in the near futu...

Happy Christmas friends!

Once Upon a Time, They lived happily ever after Wedding

This is a recent wedding card I made for a friend.  I'm not sure what this embossing folder is called but it's a pumpkin cinderella carriage.  The Once Upon a Time scroll is a digital stamp from The Stamping Boutique.  This is the inside of the card.

Thanks for your kindness

Hello there here's a thank you card I made a little bit ago that's finally making it on the way to the blog. I used the birds and swirls embossing folder.  I really love this colour combo cream and brown.  It makes just a elegant look.   I also like the simplicity of this card and the placement of the sentiment in the middle of the card.

Hello!

This is a simple yet elegant card I made awhile back.  I used the paisley embossing folder. I love the colour combo I used the cream colour outlined in black and the brown background just works great together.  The sentiment is "Hello"it's simple yet works wonderfully with this card.

Ever Thankful for you

This is a Thanksgiving/Thankful card I made a bit ago.  I used the birds and swirls embossing folder and used the fall colours orange and red.  Then of course needed to stamp a sentiment and I used the cream strip to do so and I think it completed the card wonderfully. I love how simple this card is.

Happy Birthday Mini card

This is a Mini Happy Birthday card I made a little bit ago with the MFT Birthday Princess stamp again.  I then used my kids Sprayart airbrush to create the effect in the background.  This would make a great gift tag too since it's so small. I love how this turned out!

Birthday Girl embossed watercolour background

Hello there, I'm finally updating my blog with more cards I've been making. I made all of these ones about a month ago. I actually made 11of these cards all in different colours as you can see.  I was just experimenting with watercoloring and embossing techniques and created these cool colourful backgrounds and decided to make a bunch with the MFT Birthday Princess stamp.  I really love how they turned out! It's also great having birthday cards on hand if I need one or two.

I used the splatter effect on the white background and created this very fun water colour background.  I also water coloured the background of the turtle image.  The image itself is coloured with copic markers.   I was not sure what sentiment to use or even where I would put a sentiment so I just decided to leave it as an all occasion card.  I used the Stamping Boutique image Turtle .  Don't forget to hop on over to the challenge blog to see lots more ideas and inspiration from the rest of the amazing design team.  Also you've got a chance to get out your water colours and create and card with us and even possibly win a digital stamp or two, all the details over on the blog so go check it out.

Congratulations "Fiona & Friends" Ice skates

I had made this card awhile ago and I honestly thought I had posted it but looking back over my posts I didn't see it anywhere so here is it. My mom actually asked me to make this card for my niece Fiona who has been taking skating lessons and has been passing all her levels.   The image is hand drawn by myself. It's from my "Fiona & Friends" digital images.  At the moment I'm only using them for personal use but we will see what happens in the future.  I've posted a few other cards with other images with the same girl.  These images are actually inspired by my niece Fiona.  I hand drew the image and scanned it into my computer to get the right size and was able to print it out like a digital stamp. Then I coloured it with copic markers cut it out.  I love the embossed background as it looks like swirls made in the ice.

Congratulations/3rd year Japanese school

The next card I'm  going to share with you is one of my favourites I've made in the last this while. My niece Fiona is part Japanese as her mom is Japanese so she's been taking Japanese classes for the last three years and she just finished up her 3rd year of it. So I wanted to make this card to congratulate her and encourage her on all her hard work at learning this language.  I think it's so cool that she's almost 6 and she knows two languages mostly fluently. That's better than me, hehe! This card features the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence "Japanese Girl" which is colored with copic makers.  The Congratulations and graduation cap are also from My Favorite things "Graduation die-namics" and the embossed background is a cuttlebug embossing folder called "swiss dots." Then I finished it off with some red sequins on the side just to give it that final touch. Entered in DoubleClick AKA abusybee Skittles  Back to school...

I'm raptor round your finger

I am excited to share this next card with you. I made it awhile ago now. But I really love this image. I like dinosaurs and so I thought this image was just too cute. It's a stamp from My Favourite Things.  Also the matching sentiment is just super cute too.   I coloured the image with copic markers and the red flags behind the circle are the fishtail stax's from My Favourite things and the circle is also from the circle stax from MFT.

Butterfly kisses & Dandelion Wishes

Here is another card I've made in the last little while.  I picked up a few more MFT "My Favourite Things" Pure Innocence stamps.  This set is called "Make a wish" and I absolutely love it and all it's cuteness.   The girl and the sentiment stamp are from the same set. The sentiment is embossed with white embossing power on Vellum using the MFT fishtail stax die.  Just in case you can't read the sentiment as it tends to blend in with the background it says "Butterfly kisses and dandelion wish." The butterfly stamp is one I had in my stash. Both images are coloured with copic makers. The embossed background is the embossing folder dandelion wishes and then I finished it off with some purple twine to match all the colours.

My World is brighter because of you

Hello, I've got a lot to share with you here on the blog. I'm really feeling behind in taking photos, editing and getting the cards up on the blog.  I have not been crafting too much in the past few weeks only fitting it in when time allows. Some weeks I feel like I get to craft more than others.  Though these last few weeks have been a few of those weeks where not a lot of crafting gets done. But here I am with some cards to share, I hope you like them! I recently got the MFT lightbulb die-namics and I love it.  So cute! I used this great die to create this card.  The sentiment is a Michael's $1.50 stamp and it worked perfectly. It's embossed with white embossing powder and then the sequins just finish off the card.

The Stamping Boutique Recipe card: Use a square, a circle and 2 patterned papers challenge

Hello there it's that time again on a friday where I share with you a challenge for the Stamping Boutique Design team.   This week's theme is to make a card or project using the ingredients of a square, a circle and 2 patterned papers.  This week I switched things up and actually made a project life page to showcase these ingredients. I'm new to project life but so far I'm loving it. I'm not doing it the traditional weekly/daily way but more so as a small event scrapbook.  Maybe in the future I'll do it more weekly but I like how I'm using it now.  So for this layout I did a page about cake pops since I like to make them and I'd taken a few pictures that I didn't just want to sit on my phone or computer. The  Stamping Boutique Digital image I used was  Recipe card with Space on Left . The project life cards/patterned paper featured in this layout is from the Dear Lizzy Editon by Beck Higgins. Then the cake pop patterned paper is a free pr...
